You have seen the other QB’s play, right?

You sir, are an idiot. It’s obvious you were too lazy to actually look at Shea’s stats. The numbers he put up were better than anything we’ve seen around these parts in 15-20 years.

No doubt about it. Drink of

No doubt about it. Drink of choice on campus in Terre Haute was Red Dog. You could get a 30 pack for $9.99. Quality!

Him playing back at

Him playing back at traditional linebacker depth was the answer to our question. Unfortunately, besides the play where he blitzed the A-Gap and destroyed their RB, he looked incredibly slow in space. He doesn’t have the agility to play a 3-4 backer, but he’s also going to be 47 years old, so strike while the fire’s hot.

That’s why it’s almost

That’s why it’s almost comical when people on here think Peter’s will start over SP. There’s absolutely no comparison between the two. SP has that moxie that you need from the QB position, and happens to be really good too.

Iowa at night isn’t sneaking

Iowa at night isn’t sneaking up on anyone. Any team that trots in there for a prime time game knows they’re in for a dog fight.

Dobbins ran a laser timed

Dobbins ran a laser timed 4.45 at the Opening. That’s breakaway speed my man.

Not only will he have started

Not only will he have started 51 games, he will have started 51 games.

Have you watched Cam Mcgrone

Have you watched Cam Mcgrone hit people? You may retract your statement. Anyhow, we can’t get enough slobber knockers on defense.

Could be that SP took some

Could be that SP took some classes at IMG that gave him college credit. Just a guess.

Regarding your comment that

Regarding your comment that most of his passes were in the flat, that was obviously a small sample size. Did you know that Patterson had a QBR of over 194 on passes over 10 yards? Also, did you know that out of the 10 starts he’s made, he’s thrown for over 300 yards in 7 of those contests? To put that in perspective, UM qb’s have thrown for at least 300 yards a mere 7 times in the last 83 games.

It’s almost comical that some

It’s almost comical that some of the comments I’ve read today focus on Patterson’s inaccuracies. The kid completed 64% of his passes against much tougher defenses, and put up a QB rating of 150+. I like Peters, I think he’ll be a really good one, but there’s absolutely no comparison. Against significantly weaker defenses, Peters only managed a 56-57 completion %. Patterson has that “IT” factor, which as you will see, will permeate throughout the team.

Agree to disagree

Almost all institutions have the authority to issue multi-year scholarships, but most don’t. Every year the institution must let the student athlete know prior to July 1st whether their scholarship will be renewed. Having played D1 in college, this is most definitely the case.

Scholarships

Scholarships are on a year to year basis for every athlete.

Big Picture

I don’t think you’re looking at the big picture. Peters & DM were behind O’Korn on the depth chart. Let that sink in for a bit. You can’t pull the “Oh they’re young... Oh they need time to develop... Oh they’re still learning the system”. There are true freshmen qb’s who arrive on campus all the time and take over programs. I’m not saying Peters & DM aren’t good qb’s, but we’re talking about a potentially great qb arriving on campus. Coach’s responsibility is to the team, not any individual(s).

Misinterpreted

I guess that went over your head, apparently. I wasn’t complaining. I was genuinely asking a question. I scratch my head that we can’t get “Elite” QB’s every cycle because of what can only be perceived as a “log-jam”. All the while, this doesn’t seem to hamper other programs.

Baffled

Why is it that we can’t get a top QB talent like Fields because we have Peters, McCaffery, etc... or at least that’s the excuse we all use... but Georgia, who has a stable of much higher rated/regarded QB’s can add yet another one.
