If Michigan plays a clean game, no turnovers, stupid penalties that keep Iowa drives alive, Michigan should win. Iowa can’t win a shootout

I know, I know….no shit, Sherlock. But staying away from turnovers are especially at a premium with Iowa. That’s what their defense thrives on. If Michigan turns the ball over and gives Iowa short fields, they’re in trouble. Assume every turnover you give Iowa spots them a TD. I’d say otherwise, if Michigan can score 17 that should be enough to hold Iowa off.  Everyone in that stadium knows Iowa can’t keep up in any semblance of a shootout, or if Michigan scores more than 25-30 points without turnovers.

Michigan hasn't won at Kinnick since 2005. Iowa has had this game circled all off-season after getting embarrassed in the B1G title game last year. Our first game of the season on the road, first time QB on the road. Gonna be a night game. Would be great time to get our starters back healthy.

Deep inside, our coaches are still a little afraid of JJ.  That's why there was still a QB battle in late August.  They saw what he does under pressure against our own defense, not CSU's or Hawaii's or UConn's or even Maryland's.

So (unfortunately IMO) expect the Iowa game to be a rock fight with lots of running into stacked boxes by us for 0 yards.  That plays into Iowa's hands, because they may actually be able to run it against us somewhat.

Not exactly looking forward to it.  It's a college football trip to the dentist.  Hope it does not hurt too much and you can just forget about it the next day.

I believe that Maryland will beat State. Yeah.

I'm looking forward to Michigan's D against Iowa's offense.
