Who do we ant to win that game? Part of me says Penn St which puts OSU behind the 8 ball...BUT a OSU win especially if its a close game and a emotional loss sets us up nice to go into Happy Valley with them all dejected and emotionaly drained..What say YOU?

I want PSU to destroy them.

I'm not afraid of either, and I think we will beat both and probably destroy one or both.

But I want the entire OSU program to be destroyed with every snap of the football.

I’m rooting for Penn State, but there’s no way in hell that Ohio State loses this game, in my honest opinion. Frames will choke on the road in a big game. I’d probably take the Nits if this game were in Happy Valley.

I love seeing OSU lose and I don't think Frames is a good coach BUT is anyone getting worried that we might drop one to one of these teams? Michigan is clearly one of the top teams in the country and would beat either of those teams more often than not this year but I just have a feeling that something weird could happen and we drop a stupid one.

Penn State has no chance winning in Columbus. I personally think Penn State offense will be lucky to hit 14.

Penn State is average away from home. OSU 24-14

I don't see how anyone can honestly cheer for OSU. The strategic situation for winning the division is irrelevant at this point. Michigan controls its destiny regardless of outcome.

Go Penn State.

We snatched a perfect season and they were a field goal away from a championship. You people taking OSU want a chance to see that shit show again? We still have 13 AP voters with OSU ahead of us because their biggest win last season was the loss to Georgia. No more BS end them early and often. That being said OSU 24 PSU 16

Let's agree that Sandusky reported directly to Joe Paterno, Joe Paterno bailed Sandusky out of jail after he was arrested for soliciting a minor some twenty years earlier, that Sandusky was abusing boys in Paterno's locker room for 20 years, and that Paterno had a more direct relationship with Sandusky than just an administrative or geographical relationship.

Complicated question.  Don't like either team or head coach.  At the moment, I'll just try to take what I get and like it provided Michigan wins out.  Happen to think OSU prevails Saturday regardless.

Not sure about that. OSU still has superior talent, and anything that shakes their confidence will be good for Michigan, both in the game, recruiting, etc. Will PSU you be easier or harder to beat if they win at Columbus? That one's a push. And so far this year, Michigan has looked good on the road (which is what you want a team with NC aspirations to do) so I feel better about defeating an unbeaten PSU than an unbeaten OSU.

A lot of very good comments in this thread which makes me want Penn State to win.

1) I hate the Buckeyes and a loss will disprove how tough Ryan Day thinks they are.

2) A loss to PSU will also eliminate put them out of playoff contention, as the #3 team loses at home.

3) PSU win will vault them into the Top 4 and then sets up nicely for the Michigan game.

4) Ends justifies the means; a Buckeye loss is always good.

This is a tough call...

Instinctually, if Ohio State played Satan, I'd root for Ole' Nick.  However, when PSU plays OSU on Saturday, I am going to root for the team that gives UM the best chance of making the CFP...

Still trying to figure out the logic of which team losing gives UM the best chance of reaching the CFP.  If PSU loses, and UM defeats PSU, then The Game decides who reaches the CFP (yes, I know the B1G east winner must play in the B1G champ game first.  Don't waste our time claiming the B1G west winner could win that game.)

If PSU defeats OSU, PSU defeats UM, and Michigan defeats OSU, then that's a 3-way tie, and the bizarre deciding factor is the average winning percentage of the B1G West teams PSU, OSU and UM faced in the season.  Since UM played 3 awful B1G West teams (NE, MN and Purdue), it's guaranteed PSU and OSU will have a better B1G West opponent average winning percentage.

Very unlikely UM get's into the CFP without running the table.  UM losing to PSU guarantees UM doesnt reach the CFP.  So that means it doesnt matter who wins between PSU vs OSU.  Since it doesnt matter, I am rooting for PSU.

What? No.

If we all go 1-loss by beating each other, it comes down to this tiebreaker:

The records of the three (or more) teams will be compared based on the best cumulative conference winning percentage of non-divisional opponents.

PSU plays Iowa, Northwestern, and Illinois. OSU plays Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Purdue. We play Nebraska, Minnesota, and Purdue.

So just with OSU, it comes down to who is better, Nebraska or Wisconsin. And meanwhile, Iowa could be headed to a 1-loss Big Ten record, which probably means PSU would go, unless Northwestern and Illinois really drag them down.

As a matter of personal policy I never root for OSU. I’ve hated them since at least 1973 when we tied them 10-10. I was 10 years old and that was my first OSU game at the Big House. Mike Lantry deserved better.

So by default I will be rooting for PSU. But to be honest I don’t see PSU winning this game on the road with a relatively new starting QB. I don’t care how many stars he had or how he’s looked so far—this game will be played at another level. He’s bound to make a critical mistake or two and that will be that.

Meanwhile on the OSU side of things I don’t think they are anywhere near Death Star quality this season. They probably won’t lose before they come to Ann Arbor in November but we are rock solid and will beat them again with all the marbles on the table.

I want both these teams to win the bare minimum amount required to ensure their coaches are around for a few more years. I think a 10-2 James Franklin is safe, but I'm not so sure about a 10-2 Ryan Day. Give me OSU in the type of win that everyone knows should have been a loss, something along the lines of PSU only having 10 players on the field.

If OSU loses, we get to watch the team’s fans turn on Day like rabid dogs.  Even if you don’t subscribe to the “always root against OSU” philosophy (which I think is a wise philosophy), the entertainment value of its fans’ collective meltdown tips the balance to rooting for an OSU loss.

I think OSU should win, so that's what I want to happen, only because it's what is expected. Hopefully not by much, maybe a come from behind win. Our rooting interest is that neither team falls far in the rankings, but both let us download their playbook.

Better in short term if OSU wins.  Long term it would be better if PSU wins assuming we beat them both.  Any perception that the wheels are coming off at OSU is better for us.  2 losses with their talent advantage is not good.
