Who do we ant to win that game? Part of me says Penn St which puts OSU behind the 8 ball...BUT a OSU win especially if its a close game and a emotional loss sets us up nice to go into Happy Valley with them all dejected and emotionaly drained..What say YOU?

PSU

Destroy Buckeye confidence and mystique; dent their sense of invincibility and sow long-term seeds of doubt among their fans, players, recruits;  always better when an opponent loses at home for similar reasons; the all-time win % battle. We want them to be nervous and with a sense of dread and doom, like the Cooper years (and as we experienced for the early part of this century).

PSU is not really our rival: for wins, for recruits, for poll votes, for Toledo(!), etc. OSU is.

I don't think there is a fanbase on this planet that openly and uncontrollably sobs for every camera to record quite like The Ohio fans with each loss.

There are certainly things in life that give me greater satifaction.  But not many.

When was the last time Ohio State lost mid-season? (Edit: I'll answer my own question. Between 2015- 2018, Ohio State lost one regular season game each of those seasons)

I don't know that it really matters who wins. The way I see it, we almost have to win out in order to make the CFP, because a three-way tiebreaker comes down to the records of who we played outside our division, and we are likely coming in a distant third on that. OSU has Wisconsin, and Penn State has Iowa. Iowa could legitimately win 11 games despite how awful they are. We are relying on Nebraska, Minnesota and Purdue.

If Penn State beats Michigan, I doubt they have it in them to lose more than one other game (likely to OSU) that we'd need to break their "head to head." Their other toughest game, outside of Michigan of course, is at Maryland, but September Maryland is over.

psu for sure. I live in columbus and will just never pull for osu. I hope it's a crap game and both teams expose a lot of potential weaknesses on each other and psu pulls off the win.

My ideal likely outcome is probably Ohio State exposing Penn State as fraudulent (though I don't think they are). We already know Ohio State is very good, and it's very likely Penn State is too, but seeing Penn State (or, even less likely, Ohio State) exposed would be nice.

I am good with OSU winning. Selfishly, I want to beat an undefeated Ohio St in the snow again on November 25th. That will be the most fun scenario and maximize the experience that day for me and my pops again.

I want psu to win to crack Mr. 3rd base open a bit.

We need osu to win because we dont know how the game at psu is going to play out. They cannot beat osu and Michigan in the same season.

I hope PSU obliterates them into little buckeye giblets.  Then I hope PSU sweeps the giblets into a pile and invites their Michigan friends to take a dump on the pile.  Then I hope we pour gasoline on that smelly, scat-stained pile and light the whole thing on fire while the PSU folks look on in shocked horror.  Then I hope we put out the fire by urinating on it after having drank an impossible amount of Bells Two Hearted.

Guess I'm saying that I want PSU to win.

This is not a serious question. Aside from very rare instances where Michigan would directly benefit in a meaningful way - I want OSU to lose every game they ever play, in any sport or activity. From tiddlywinks to quiz bowl to football, and everything in between.
