Whatever the result tonight savor this team.

Que sera, sera.

This team is a historic squad. It will be long remembered in the annals of Michigan football history.

Decades from now when hair has grayed and the body aches form the pain of age Team 144 will be  lovingly ensconced in the hearts of all Michigan faithful.

If Michigan should win or if they should fall to defeat it hardly matters at this point. Team 144 has won by not bowing to the carnival barkers, hypocrites, and scoundrels. They have won by persevering through all the calumny and distractions.

Tonight they face a formidable foe. The greatest obstacle yet in their pursuit of glory.A foe far more worthy than the numerous ones thrown in their path by Team 144’s envious and scruple-less critics.

What the future holds for the members of Team 144 we don’t know. Thus it is imperative that  tonight, no matter what happens on the field,  we savor the moments and achievements this team has given us this year. They have lived up to the title “Wolverine” like few other Michigan football teams have.

I am currently battle Covid so I apologize in advance if this seems off. But I felt the need to express myself before tonight. I love this team. It will be my favorite for a long time to come.

Couldn't agree more. This TEAM is very special. And I all caps'd team because they are exactly that. They are the absolute definition of a team. May never see another like this one. But hopefully the returning leaders keep this same atmosphere for years to come. Started with Hutchinson and has only grown. No matter what happens tonight, this team will be remembered forever.

As I explained to non-M fans who were asking in December how I felt about the Rose Bowl, this team is a group of outstanding men and, very simply, they deserve to go out as winners. Already immensely proud of their efforts regardless of tonight’s results.

This is the appropriate attitude. This is already a historic Michigan team that we should cherish forever. I desperately want a win, but we have to be grateful no matter what

Go Blue. Beat Washington.

I'm with you completely.  Going through this day enjoying every minute.  This has been incredible, and will remain so regardless of tonight's outcome.

After the Rose Bowl this feels like more of a bonus game.  I still think we win.

hear, hear!

Drink all of this in friends, the amount of muck we have all been through over the years has led to this point, this team, this moment.

Who knows what Jim will do, look at him on the sidelines and soak it in.   Look at Blake, JJ, Roman, Keegan, Barrett, Moore...too many to list....soak it all in.

Hopefully the football God's grace this amazing program with the ultimate tropy, maybe they won't, but appreciate every second of this season....I know we all will

No matter what happens, this collection of players and coaches will disperse to the winds tomorrow.  It is inevitable and just part of college sports.

Enjoy them one last time, while we have them now.

Spot on

Except, for me, the decades have passed, the hair is gray, and my body aches from the pains of age. Not to mention the cold I am fighting.

Not "off"at all.

Nothing can happen tonight to detract from my love for this team, players, coaches, staff, everyone.

Win or lose, I love this fuckin team. For three years they've played over their heads and transformed themselves into a better team than their recruit rankings would suggest. This team has made the Bad Times--the RichRod/Hoke years, all the losses to Ohio, humiliations at hands of MSU, the crap I personally took from a Ohio fan I used to work with or even people driving by when I wore Michigan gear--all worth it to arrive at this point of transcendence.

There's really nothing like seeing your alma mater win. I root for the Yankees, but I am not a Yankee. I am a Wolverine. I taught a class with Shane Morris as a student during his first summer here, and another with Jon Horford the year before the epic tournament run. I remember seeing Denard hanging outside the Union smiling and laughing with passersby, and a grad teacher that had him in her class praise him as a student and class presence. The academic side was as enriching as any experience I've had. My time in Ann Arbor was short, but my love of Michigan is eternal.

Go BLUE. Beat UDub. Get well soon, Sal Q.

Thank you posting this.  I feel the same exact way which is why I am oddly serene today.   Obviously I would be ecstatic with a win, but either way it is a historic and unprecedented season that everyone involved with should be incredibly proud of.  Tonight’s result doesn’t change any of that.

100% this has been one special team.  If we think back to the Covid year, NOBODY (I doubt not even Jim Harbaugh) could have predicted we would rattle off back-to-back-to-back playoff berths.   Tonight feels like the culmination of these 3 years.   These Juniors/Seniors are special and should always be remembered.

Having said that...let's send them out proper.

Amen. Great team, great players! Very proud of them!

Having said that - go and finish this guys! Fulfill your destinies! Add even more glory to your legacies! Go Blue!!

My hair has already grayed - and much has fallen out - but I can remember a number of Michigan squads that I was proud of. Most won their final game but a few didn't and am still proud enough to watch YouTube videos of some of the games.

1976 B1G champs. Went 10-1 before a 14-6 loss to USC in the RB (this was NOT the phantom TD game, but Charles White did score a TD). After 4 years of frustration (0-3-1 vs. Ohio) we went into C-BUS and shut them out 22-0. the loss to SC didn't kill my love for that team.

1980 B1G champs. Started 1-2 after Bo's worst season (8-4 in 79, with 3 losses to close out that season). The only win was an ugly 17-10 home win vs. what would be an 0-11 NW team. I was there that day and got drenched in a heavy downpour, even lightning (that game would have had a weather break based on today's rules). Unranked, we went on a roll and finished the season with 9 straight wins and Bo's first bowl win (23-6 over Wash in 1981 RB). Third win in C-BUS. That is my favorite team and getting the RB win was essential.

1985. Coming off Bo's worst season (6-6 in 84) we lost only to #1 Iowa, tied Illinois, but beat Ohio in my last home game as a student. Beat Tom Osborne and Nebraska in the Fiesta.

1997 - of course for many reasons but especially to snap a four year run of 4-loss seasons.

2021 - broke a lot of bad streaks and won 1st B1G since 2004. The loss to UGA didn't really dampen my season all that much.

This team is a favorite for overcoming adversity - from burgergate to signgate and all the BS from outsiders. Being at the Ohio game and sensing we would beat Ohio on that last drive or die trying - Rod Moore made perhaps one of the most consequential plays in UM-Ohio FB history. That INT broke Day, McCord, and Ohio.

Even if we lose, I'll be tremendously proud of this team. The RB over Bama in OT was special.

GO BLUE!

Proud of this team regardless for everything they have overcome to get here, but can not agree with the posters saying they won't care that much win or lose. This feels like UM's year as they were the best overall team entering the playoff so to not finish it would be very disheartening as these chances are rare. IDK just feels like there are still alot of people with bpone left over who don't see this UM team in the proper light as the best team in the playoff and are still saying things that you would expect if UM was the underdog. This isn't Georgia two years ago where any positive outcome would have been a bonus because they were overmatched, this is UM's time to go out, play well and finish this as the better overall team.

Hope we win and am cautiously optimistic. Yet, it's been a great season win or lose. One to remember along with a number of notable Michigan Men.

Teams 142, 143, and 144 have truly been exceptional and a pleasure to cheer for.

The culture has been extraordinary - and, I hope - is reflected in their play tonight.

Im going to be on Cloud 9 when Michigan wins. I don’t know how I’ll feel if we lose, probably empty like there is something missing? Being so close and wondering “what if” would suck. I think the uncertainty of Harbaugh snd the program aren’t helping, it’s almost the Bulls “last dance” feeling. I could stomach any changes a hell of a lot better win a win than a loss. Here’s to winning!
