What I want to see this Saturday...
I want a win, badly...as we all do...
Close second?
I want the Michigan fanbase to show up in droves to the FOX set. Let the world know how we feel about the most unethical, shitbag, slime ball human in football infesting our beloved campus. The man is disgusting, and should not be involved with this great game in any fashion. Not coaching. Not broadcasting. Not as an analyst. Nothing. Period.
Give em hell.

Michigan 24, OSU 12

With DPJ returning a punt for a touchdown, running down the field like a "penguin with a hot herring in his cumberbun"!

No flags!

Deja vu all over again. It was great being in the stands in 1969, especially after watching the 1968 game all the way through the 2 point conversion. Couldn't talk for days.

I remember when I had an OSU coach as my avatar ?♂️
November 26th, 2019 at 1:17 AM ^
I'm assuming you had Mattison?
Don't feel badly. During the Revolutionary War period, image how many people had Benedict Arnold as their avatar and had to change it, and look how well that all turned out!
Hopefully, this Saturday history repeats itself, and the good guys win again.

I’d take no fans showing up in outrage at FOX in exchange for a victory

I wanna see Urban get the water boy from Woodson.
November 25th, 2019 at 6:05 PM ^
Water boy or waterboard?
November 25th, 2019 at 7:58 PM ^
Uh what is both?
fuck Ohio for $500 please
November 25th, 2019 at 5:18 PM ^
The whole Urban scandal thing crescendoed then decrescendoed and its merit in conversation now sits at ‘meh.’
He’s a PR specialist. He knew his reputation was badly wounded and he also knew the remedy for that was to play the role of knowledgeable charmer on national television, so long as the Smiths can’t come up in conversation. And guys like him don’t sit on the sideline with that kind of distraction in reach.
For Michigan fans who can’t accept this reality, my advice is: (1) Know how to pick your battles. There are better hills to die on than this. Also, (2) take solace that even though his rep is rebounding a bit, it’s also permanently tarnished and can’t rebound all the way.
Find your way to peace and move on.
November 25th, 2019 at 5:49 PM ^
Great post.
Hate is no way to go through life, young man.
Urban will rebuild his image (and lets be real here--particularly in the age of Trump), and outside this message board, nobody cares anymore.
Urban will be back in the Good Ol Boyz club and will win another national championship before we even sniff the playoff.

Hey osu bitch. Fuck off.

Go stink somewhere else, troll. Your "we" is so transparent even a stupid Buckeye like yourself could spot it.

Most likely a Spartan troll. Joined up just a couple hours after Michigan broke it off in sparty.

November 26th, 2019 at 3:04 PM ^
The best way to get back is to win on the field.
November 25th, 2019 at 6:06 PM ^
Excellent post. Exactly my thoughts. Time to move on. It's not a good look to obsess over a coach who beat us seven (?) straight years.
November 25th, 2019 at 6:28 PM ^
Thats because THAT is what Urban Liar does..he quits before the Heat really gets on him...then resurfaces a year or so later when the heat is off
November 25th, 2019 at 10:03 PM ^
What is a better hill to die on than being outraged that a man who knowingly enabled domestic violence is still being paid millions of taxpayer dollars and is still regarded as a good role model by the ignorant?
I can’t say that it was “no big deal” when I book it down to its core.
November 25th, 2019 at 5:26 PM ^
I wanna see Michael Dwumfour do an aszman to Justin fields after a sack.

win the game

I’d rather see Michigan lose by 30 than lose by 3. I’ve had a shitty couple of weeks and don’t wanna have to feel that kind of pain Saturday.
November 25th, 2019 at 6:00 PM ^
You serious, Clark?
November 25th, 2019 at 6:02 PM ^
Lol I think the point has been hammered home, but there is no “close second” to beating OSU. I don’t even care if Urban announces his next job on the set on live TV... just win baby!!!

You could tell from the psu game that Fields doesn’t like to get hit....I mean really doesn’t like it. I’d venture to guess he’s a bit soft and could be why he was never gonna beat out Fromm.
So I’d like to see him get hit A LOT on Saturday. Whether it’s a sack or a knock down, I want to see Michigan defenders in his face. I want to see him picking field turf out of his helmet. I want to see him uncomfortable.
Its hard to be efficient when you’re uncomfortable
November 25th, 2019 at 8:04 PM ^
Fields' left hand has been causing him pretty bad pain for several weeks. It's not his throwing hand, but it is the arm that he's been holding the ball with on a couple of his recent fumbles. So if any part of your evaluation about him not liking to get hit rests on the fact that he fumbles when popped, I think that's a faulty premise; he didn't fumble much earlier in the year, before his injury.
The most glaring weakness in his game right now is that despite having a very good offensive line and despite getting good protection most plays, he has taken way, way too many sacks. He'll sit in the pocket for 4 seconds, and then instead of throwing the ball away, he'll try to buy another second or two, or take off on a failed run. That seems inconsistent with the notion that he's afraid of getting hit.
If Michigan can get pressure without needing to blitz, they'll more likely than not win the game. I don't see much hope of that, and it's not really the way DB designs his defense, anyway. If the Wolverines are getting pressue by bringing a couple of extra guys, they may win some battles but lose the war-- a short completed pass into a vacated area to someone like Dobbins, Olave, Wilson, or to a lesser extent Hill, can wind up being a huge chunk play. Still, I can't see any alternative to trying it. Just-- be careful what you wish for!
The most interesting subplot for me on Saturday is whether Day calls the game like he did for the first 10 weeks of the year, or like he did last week. The playcalling against PSU bore virtually no resemblence to prior games; they ran right up the gut on first down so much more than they had been doing, against the best run defense in the country. If that was because of the weather, then I'd look to see a repeat in Ann Arbor, since the weather will be at least as bad next weekend.
November 25th, 2019 at 10:33 PM ^
What qb's like to get hit?
November 26th, 2019 at 9:15 AM ^
This right here ^. We’re going to need a special confluence of events to win this game, and getting conventional, non-blitz pressure on Fields is a big part of it. Even on successful plays — give the young man something to think about every chance you get.
November 26th, 2019 at 12:08 PM ^
And he doesn't throw a great ball downfield. The last two games he's thrown a couple of muffinballs that could easily be picked. Assuming the refs stop calling ticky tack fouls on Lavert.
November 25th, 2019 at 6:15 PM ^
Haskins and Charbonnet both running for over 100 yards. Run those fuckers right out of Ann Arbor. THAT would be channeling Bo and 1969.
November 26th, 2019 at 8:13 AM ^
Tru too. Last home game as a wolverine. Nice to see him have a big day.

100 agree. Hate seeing people find ways to compartmentalize Urban Meyer. He essentially facilitated the spousal abuse of his coach for several years, covered it up and had the audacity to play the victim. He’ll be back as a coach somewhere if not this off-season then within the next few.
I’d rather he just go rot away somewhere in private
