We’re Going To Win It All

A lot of hand-wringing about FSU not getting into the CFP right now. Obviously, would have much rather had to play them with a backup QB, and I think the committee got it wrong leaving out an undefeated conference champion, but in the end I don’t think it matters. Florida State was not going to win the title. Neither is Alabama. Washington, Texas, they won’t win it all. That’s because our #1 Michigan Wolverines are going to be National Champions this year.

It’s The Team speech. They can throw out all those great backs and quarterbacks. But do you really believe that anyone else in the country has a better team than us? You think it matters who is on the opposite sideline when our sideline has Blake, JJ, Mike, Graham, Kris, Kenneth, Roman, and MFJH?

This season the mantra has been Michigan vs. Everybody. At the end of the season, it’s going to change to Michigan Beats Everybody. Including Alabama. Including either Washington or Texas. This team doesn’t care who they play, they care for each other. They stayed, and they will be Champions.

Let’s fucking Go Blue.

My hand-wringing about FSU is that they’re a 13 win conference championship who did everything they possibly could have… including winning games without their QB.

Alabama, getting in, over them is an embarrassment for the committee and shows undeniable SEC bias.

With all of that said, I don’t give a shit who we play. This team is prime to beat whomever they line up against!

Go Blue!

I thought FSU deserved to be in. I would have even thought ranking them 3 would be acceptable. So it wasn't about wanting an "easy opponent".

They are an undefeated conference champ, beat two SEC teams, and did that despite major adversity.

Bring on Bama!

if i didn't bleed maize and blue, i'd take bama and the points.  love our team, love our guys, and glad we are 'in', but bama is the team i'd want to play least of the 3 alternatives. i know, they have laid an egg or two, but so have we and that includes our offense yesterday.

Agree. Bama has 3 guys on the OL that are 6'5" and 350 or larger.  They're less experienced, but better athletes across the board.  5 star after 5 star that take a season for their heads to catch up to their athleticism.  I think they're better than Washington or Texas at this point in the season.  They vastly outgained Arkansas and Auburn and all their "close games". Milroe didn't play against USF and even that wasn't that close. Those teams were lucky to be in those games. Lost to Texas, but that was Sept 9. Hardly the same team since then. Michigan's offense is mediocre. Our 315lb OL will be destroyed in this game.  Barnhart and Henderson and Trente will be exposed. Our defense is great, but they also benefited from playing 7 teams who ranked 100 or worse in total offense including Iowa who is dead last at 130.  It's gonna be a bad time.  Alabama 34 Michigan 16. We score on TD, and kick 3 field goals. Bama pulls away in the 4th bc our offense keeps our defense on the field.

I'll repeat the following:

Harbaugh v. Sabin: of course. Regardless of who got mugged to get this matchup? It had to happen. This is about the best drama the Football Gods could arrange.

On Day 1 of 2024 it's Awkward v Smooth. Mr. Football v Mr. Aflac.

Seven days later, we win it all.

Love the spirit, OP!

meanwhile, the 11Warriors gang is trying to tell UGA and FSU fans they should be protesting the Playoff Rankings and urging the NCAA to 'drop the hammer and give the spot to a deserving team, not a bunch of cheating cheetahs.'

i know it's not Christmas yet, but Angry Buckeye Fan is the gift that keeps on giving.

The only thing that scares me about Alabama are Milroe's legs.  I think we can move the ball on their D reasonably well.  And we can score points.  But Milroe is a legit 4.4 with good size and will be hard to bring down.

I mean, yeah, Saban with a month to concoct schemes is going to be super tough, but if this is the team we all think it is - and everything we've seen so far would indicate that it is - then everyone of our guys will be up for the challenge.  You could understand why they might blink when they suspended Jim Harbaugh right before Penn State, or when they found out he wouldn't be there for the OSU game.  Or when they lost their captain with a horrific leg injury that silenced the Big House.  Each and every time they answered the bell.  We've seen who these kids are, time after time after time.

This is a generational team with a unique combination of guts, character, experience and mental fortitude. I believe they will make us very proud on New Year's Day
