Watching BTN tonight and Dave Revsine was speaking with Urban Meyer
He asked Meyer how the team was preparing for their biggest game of the year Saturday against Penn St, and Meyer cut him off and said, "it's not the biggest game of the year". Dave said, but coach, this game will determine if OSU goes to Indy, and Meyer said, yeah, but the biggest game of the year is next week, period.

You can't say that Urban Meyer didn't understand the expectations of his job.
November 20th, 2019 at 7:57 PM ^
Didn’t expectations include following the law and not covering up domestic violence?
November 20th, 2019 at 8:12 PM ^
Most certainly not. There is unlimited license at osu as long as you beat Michigan.
November 20th, 2019 at 8:57 PM ^
*Laughs indulgently* Oh, you sweet summer child...
November 20th, 2019 at 9:32 PM ^
Bless your heart...
November 21st, 2019 at 1:48 PM ^
Their motto was "you can beat on anything you want so long as Michigan is at the top of your list"
November 21st, 2019 at 9:15 AM ^
Yeah... makes me wonder if Harbaugh truly understands the expectations of his...
November 21st, 2019 at 9:53 AM ^
Dude, you cannot plant coleslaw one day and expect to be eating cottage cheese the next day.
Harbaugh will complete this circle, when the time is right.
November 21st, 2019 at 10:12 AM ^
But I can also say he’s a massive tool and a douchebag with a checkered past.
November 21st, 2019 at 1:29 PM ^
I see Urban is still coaching
November 20th, 2019 at 7:01 PM ^
"Urban Meyer says Michigan game bigger than PSU, regardless of B1G championship"
There's your thread title.

So we can crush the souls of the imperfect.

Along with the thumbs, we should have a flag for piling on (or “I surrender!”).

"Huel" is the sound my dog makes when he barfs up a big bolus of grass.
November 20th, 2019 at 7:06 PM ^
Indeed. Dave Revsine was talking to Urban Meyer. And I was talking to my wife. Compelling.
November 20th, 2019 at 7:19 PM ^
You talk to your wife? About what?
November 20th, 2019 at 7:41 PM ^
Indigestion.

The reality is every single fucking person here in Ohio understands and agrees with this instantly while about 95% of Michigan fans are doing the math to see if it's a "big game" or not based on the standings
November 20th, 2019 at 8:54 PM ^
Pretty sure Michigan fans know it’s the biggest game of all, which explains folks on every Michigan football thread declaring that they don’t care if the team loses every other game as long as they win OSU. (As if it EVER worked that way...) That said, Michigan fans understand there are other games that matter too. As a resident of Ohio, I think their level of obsession with Michigan is bizarre and more than a little creepy.

Pretty sure Michigan fans know it’s the biggest game of all
The shit ass Michigan fans who sell their tickets to people in Ohio and make this home game 30%-40% grey and red in the stands say otherwise.
November 21st, 2019 at 2:10 PM ^
That’s due to Michigan’s futility in the rivalry. Look at the crowds from the 90s and early mid 00s when Michigan was competitive. All Maize and Blue.
November 21st, 2019 at 2:40 PM ^
Look at the crowds form the 70’s and 80’s as well.
November 21st, 2019 at 10:30 AM ^
"A little creepy."
The fact that they've won nearly every game for the last 20 years and they are still obsessed to the point of distraction is actually "psychotic."
November 21st, 2019 at 8:33 AM ^
RR didntnandnsaid it was any other game. This polarized him with the fanbase.
November 20th, 2019 at 8:50 PM ^
For OSU it is also the reality. They know that the only program that can challenge their Big 10 supremacy over time is Michigan.
November 20th, 2019 at 7:02 PM ^
Don't leave me hanging.... Who do they play next week?
/s
November 20th, 2019 at 7:11 PM ^
Rutgers
November 20th, 2019 at 8:17 PM ^
No, no, no, Chase Young is available to play, no way it's Rutgers
November 20th, 2019 at 7:04 PM ^
Shouldn’t they ask that of Ryan Day?
November 20th, 2019 at 7:51 PM ^
Nobody gives a fuck what he thinks. He'll be fired in 4 years after going 0-4 against us anyway.
November 20th, 2019 at 7:55 PM ^
You’re talking loco and I like it.

Urban is still "assistant AD" or something like that. I'm sure he's sitting in on some coaching meetings, and offering his input to The Game.
November 21st, 2019 at 9:08 AM ^
Urban teaches a class on ethics or honesty or some BS. Which ever it is he’s going to hell for lying.
November 21st, 2019 at 10:36 AM ^
Unfortunately, you've been duped into thinking there is a hell.
November 20th, 2019 at 7:10 PM ^
Well, it doesn't really matter what Urban thinks any longer. What does Day think?
November 20th, 2019 at 7:20 PM ^
What sets the two programs apart.
November 20th, 2019 at 7:25 PM ^
This times 1000
November 20th, 2019 at 7:45 PM ^
Are you implying Michigan doesn't hold the OSU game on a pedestal? I can assure you they do.
November 20th, 2019 at 10:56 PM ^
You're new.
I would rather have a National Championship. And I wouldn't care if Michigan lost to Ohio St in the year they won one.
November 21st, 2019 at 7:43 AM ^
That's nice, but it's not going to be an option this season, so winning this game would be a nice consolation prize.
November 20th, 2019 at 7:49 PM ^
that and the competitive advantage gained from a rampant disregard of the rules...
November 20th, 2019 at 8:25 PM ^
Ditto for Sparty.
Maybe I don’t pay close attention, but it appears PSU only holds a night-game-white-out for Michigan
November 20th, 2019 at 8:37 PM ^
Think they do for OSU also.
