I think the Big Ten would probably be flexible if they can find another school that wants a matching out of conference game the same weekend. There’s only really a problem if you have an odd number of out of conference games on a weekend, as then you’d have somebody with no opponent.

I suspect it’ll be treated as a neutral site game, with ticket allocations split between the two schools.

Yes, UW is in Seattle, but Seattle is also home to the largest concentration of WSU alumni anywhere. (There aren’t many jobs east of the Cascades).

I imagine the main adjustment will be scheduling, as the B1G may end up moving the Border War to rivalry weekend, which might mean playing this in non con season, though apparently USC will still have the ND game in the traditional last week in LA/October in South Bend rotation.

Our real rival is OSU, then Notre Dame. MSU could end this year and I’d be ok with it. Basketball is a different story, keep that game, it’s an actual rivalry.
