Walter Nolen wore M gloves at Satellite Camp
Walter Nolen wore M gloves for some of the drills at Camp. I'm still thinking he's going Alabama. But I do believe in miracles.
Video posted today, June 8. He's in it from 0:07 to 1:03. Amazing how such a big man moves so fast. Looks like he has a bit of a limp. That's one of the gloves that falls out of his pocket.
Even if he picks Michigan, he’s going to Bama.
I always tell the truth...even when I lie
He’s definitely coming here. All we need is an unexpectedly amazing season, victory over OSU, appearance in the playoff, be a leader in NIL options and have insane luck
Phew, thanks. I thought it was going to be hard.
Probably just a gift from Najee Harris is my guess.
This is great. But everyone is sharp tonight with the comments.
....or they are De'Shawn Hands-me-downs!
Soooooooo we're dating
He’s just toying with you. Don’t fall for it—elite DLs from the deep south have been playing Michigan fans for two decades, going back to Marquise Hill in 2001.
Tennessee isnt that DEEP, deep south though..so there is that :)
You’re right—Tennessee is obviously not as far south as Alabama or Mississippi. However, in today’s cultural terms, I think that’s a distinction without much of a difference—Tennessee has far more in common with the deep south than it does the north. It's a much harder pull to get a top-elite southern player north to Michigan than it was to get Rashan Gary to Michigan from NJ.
This is in addition to the fact that the perception of Jim Harbaugh's program is vastly different now than it was back when Gary committed. If Harbaugh and his largely new staff pull it off, it'll be the biggest national recruiting upset of the last ten years at least.
Central Ohio has a closer relationship with Bama than it does the north. Although the political Mason Dixon line rests somewhere in Sault Ste Marie now.
That and Gary committed when Partridge was here. We most likely wouldn’t have gotten Peppers or Gary without CP coming in to coach here.
Right...except Peppers was playing for Michigan before Patridge OR Harbaugh were coaching here.
True....but I was just having a bit of light hearted fun...
I wouldn't rule out the possibility that he just happens to like the fit and feel of the Jumpman gloves. I'm an Occam's Razor kind of guy, and I'm thinking that a teenager running some kind of 'maskirovka' on schools doesn't seem too likely. Unless Hotel Puti put him up to it...
So he's killing us softly before soft committing elsewhere?
Strumming my pain with his fingers (in those gloves)
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
I heard he sang a good song, I heard he had a style (Those moves..)
And so I came to see him, to listen for a while
And there he was, this young boy, a stranger to my eyes
Strumming my pain with his fingers (one time, one time) (Committed...transferred)
Singing my life with his words (two times, two times) (Transferred back..and out again..)
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
I felt all flushed with fever, embarrassed by the crowd (Big House...pick any ugly loss)
I felt he'd found my letters and read each one out loud (Recruiting hype..)
I prayed that he would finish, but he just kept right on…(BPONE)
Wow, thanks Roberta!
Naw...Lauryn Hill...?
LOL.
I'm old school, Roberta Flack forever on this one.
Oh come on people! HE WORE MICHIGAN GLOVES! He can only dominate others when wearing them.
Looks like a recruiting violation to me. Michigan will punish itself by giving up three scholarships and sending a 5 star to OSU.
We would need to have a five star to send.
Shirley, no high schooler would ever troll a school they’re not attached to.
Agreed, but stop calling me Shirley!
Tease.
The 4 million dollars saved from Harbaugh's contract reduction should be enough for the Walter Nolen family fund.
He's going to Alabama. As he should.
That's not a knock against Michigan. That is just stating sound logic. If you have an option to go to Clemson, OSU or Alabama right now, and your main goal is to win championships and play professionally, then those schools should be the only ones you're even considering right now.
Plenty of schools put a good amount of kids in the league. These are the only three schools that can do that in addition to go win national championships in any given year.
Wow, It has been a really relaxing and fulfilling stroll down memory lane hearing all the names that have crushed our souls late in the recruiting game!
That said, I still remain firmly entrenched in Lloyd Christmas-land with the news that Nolen was wearing Jumpman gloves at camp. He comin!
I guess I skipped a month. Today couldn't be June 8, could it?
Domani Jackson did the same then committed to USC. I think recruits just genuinely like the maize and blue Jumpman gloves
That’s what I was thinking, he probably just likes the Jumpman logo.
Also, I believe he was at a Michigan satellite camp. Wouldn't he wear Michigan gloves there?
Tease.
We need to have a much improved season. I don't think we are going to have a complete 180, but we need to beat teams we should beat and crush them.
Indiana, Rutgers, MSU... We need to beat these teams.
We need to beat or at least have competitive games with PSU, UW, and OSU...
If not, these commits will flip... Obviously.
He looks like the prototypical Alabama DL, the face, hair, body type. Sorry for the subjective feels on this topic. He's also fast and good at what he does. He'll probably end up at Alabama.
