Good for him.
Does this mean we have two recruiting coordinators?
January 22nd, 2018 at 6:40 PM ^
i believe you are thinking of matt dudek who, off the top of my head is the director of recruiting. not sure of the difference in responsibilites between the two positions.
January 22nd, 2018 at 6:44 PM ^
I was actually thinking of Cooper Petagna.

His twitter bio and mgblue profile says he is a recruiting coordinator.

Actually, he has a friend who knows a guy who has a cousin who knows the guy who is going to coordinate the guys that coordinate recruiting. This is called an inside source.

there is also chris bryant who is the football director of high school relations.

[Edit - made bad Roy Moore joke, then thought about the underlying accusations, and thought better of it.]

Not bad a salary progression considering Partridge was making $80K as a recruiter in 2015.

2019 already has 2 borderline five stars and we are in the top group for some elite talent (#1 TE Hudson Henry, #1 OLB Owen Pappoe, #3 RB Quavaris Crouch, #3 ATH Isaiah Williams, #3 S Lewis Cine, #8 WR Marcus Washington - those are all currently Top 40 players that most analysts would agree Michigan is in the top 3 or 5 for today). Win a bunch of games in 2018 and that 2019 class will be very nice.
January 22nd, 2018 at 7:37 PM ^
Back to back 8-5 seasons will have those players looking else where.
But onto the bright side if the offense line and qb get straightened out really thinking Michigan could have a big year.
January 22nd, 2018 at 7:52 PM ^
I'd bet both of my legs that we will finish better than 8-5 next season (barring losing the starting QB again). Both of my GD legs.
January 23rd, 2018 at 8:05 AM ^
I hope you're correct because that schedule looks tough
January 23rd, 2018 at 8:14 AM ^
Doesn't look more tough than 2016 to me.

My wife thinks I have one of these money cannons in my backyard.

Interesting to see what happens with him.
January 22nd, 2018 at 5:59 PM ^
Whenever Mattison retires (if everyone else is still around) I could see Washington to DL, CP to LBs, Bush to safeties.
Obvious question is if Bush is content to wait around for that or for another departure before getting back to on-field coaching.
January 22nd, 2018 at 6:00 PM ^
thinking too. I thought that he'd be the guy when the season ended, and I really wanted him to be the guy. Bush could have been huge in florida and the Dade county area. Maybe partridge will end up leaving for a DC job next year and then Bush will step in, but who knows.
January 22nd, 2018 at 6:01 PM ^
One thing I read was that, "he wasn't ready." I'm not to sure what that means.
January 22nd, 2018 at 7:11 PM ^
I think it mostly means that:
A. He was the safeties coach for the bowl game and our safeties got beat a few times in the game. Our safeties got beat covering the slot a few times before he was their official coach as well, so that's not to say that he made them worse.
B. The staff probably thinks he would stick around until another opening comes up.

So it's totally fine to be outcoached by Dantonio yet again? They were 3-9 last year and lost a ton of players off that team yet still found a way to beat us at home. You were totally fine with that?
Our QBs, coached by a QB guru, badly regressing...totally ok with that as well?
We are two years away, minimum, from contending and we are paying top 5 salaries.
These guys better find a way to win.....or else.

any less valid.
January 23rd, 2018 at 8:55 PM ^
It wasn't pointless when we did it to Brandon....if you don't voice displeasure, you get more of the same.
And believe it or not, there seem to be coaches out there that can do a pretty good job and maybe, just maybe, a better job than St. Harbaugh. He needs to prove he's worth the money that we are paying him and he hasn't done that yet....not even close. I'm hopeful he will but I'm not tied to the idea that it HAS to be Harbaugh. No man is bigger than the program.
