I still chuckle at my own idiocy when I think about the first time we met with my son's orthdontist.

Had her Michigan undergrad and Harvard Dental School diplomas up on the wall.

ME:  "Oh, you didn't get in to Michigan's dental school?"

Is it Chase Bisontis?  He would be a good fit to replace Zinter.

That could be.  Harbaugh and staff like to keep things tightly sealed until the players are ready to unveil their choices.  All the coaches like to give the players the spotlight.

I agree, but that is incredibly strange.  Everyone could use a good athletic DT.  It doesn't matter how deep you are, you can never have enough.  There must have been something on film that both teams didn't like.  That or they didn't want to piss off their current players/recruits.

Feel worse for MSU.... their online contingent REALLY wanted Thor.

As for M - there is probably a good reason they have offered another Ivy League DL (from Penn maybe?) and NOT Thor.  Let's not forget that there isn't always a correlation between the "freaks" list and high level success in football  (see J. Welschof ---- love the guy but never made it big at M)

Joey Slackman from Penn is reportedly the Ivy DL that M offered. 

They should be calling us to consult first! How dare they ignore us.

Hopefully for Dante Moore, Walter Nolan and Chase Bisontis they got their NIL recruitment money for staying at their committed schools for a year, and now want to transfer to their "true" first choice of school (Michigan).

Would love to have JJ back, but if he leaves, then bring on Moore, move Oriji to LB and let Denegal and Davis (if he stays committed) to battle for the backup spot.  However; Michigan will give all three a shot to start.

Michigan also has the luxury of being a deep enough team that they can afford to be picky in the portal. We aren’t filling major voids in the roster. 
 

I can’t think of a position on the roster, except possibly QB if JJ leaves, where it’s an absolute necessity that we grab someone out of the portal. We can afford to be choosy and go after guys who are upgrades at certain positions and you don’t need to jump at every player in the portal in the first week in order to do that. Coaching carousel is still in swing and you’ll see more guys enter the portal.
