TGIF POSBANG - Final Four Edition!!

Submitted by UM Griff on
We are now down to the wire; Wolverines are gathering in San Antonio to cheer on this marvelous group of young men. Michigan is so blessed to have John Beilein for a coach - to show how (in this unsettling time for college basketball) things can be done the right way. As a coach, as a teacher, and as a man he will lead the Wolverines to victory on Saturday with class and style. Go Blue!!

It was glorious running down S. Forest with a mob of revelers and merging with every other similar student mob at the corner of South U.  I think a store awning also came down with kids climbing all over it.  Unforgettable.  My only other memory like this, a pale second, was running down the center of Jefferson avenue in Detroit towards downtown after the Wings finally won their Stanley cup years later.

This'll be my 6th final four as a fan (one I was too young to really remember).  Go Blue, and let's up that title count!

wish the game was tonight, but an Easter final might cause timing complications.

Another thread suggested Friday night ratings would be low, but might Easter Sunday final have been as large as an influencer?

Loyola isn't used to this, I'm sure they are suffering from all the travel and attention. Send them home, think of the children!

In a world with dishonesty, corruption, negligence and hypocrisy rampant, let’s bang Beilein and the Boys in Blue all the way to the title. That would be one of the most fulfilling sports stories in recent memory.

I think my MGoDog is dying. He had what seemed to be three seizures coupled with terrifying screams throughout the night. I was crying for about thirty straight minutes after the third one.

having this whole week to savor the regional championship, but not the case. Very ready for the final four to begin. Glad we are the first game. Hope the shots are falling.

So ready for the beat down tomorrow night.  Will go from there...

Remember that we're playing with house money.  We were down and out, and heading for the door because we weren't supposed to be that far, when Poole dropped in his last coin and pulled the bandits arm.  He hit the jackpot!  And so here we are, playing with house money - nothing to lose.  Enjoy it, boys, play light and free, have fun, and things will take care of themselves.

GO BLUE!!!!

You know, for as much pain as these threads cause some people on the board, I fully expect those same people - if we win on Saturday and, dare we hope, on Monday - to be in those threads celebrating with everyone else. Then, of course, on Tuesday, they'll go back to telling everyone that enough is enough.

I'm going to sit in the grey, cold, wet weather to watch the Reds Opening Day today. Drinking will commence shortly. I can think of some tickets I'd rather have bought had I been able to afford them though. Cheers to Michigan and Hail to the conquering heros, fellas.

I've been there once for the Michigan - Hawaii game and it was packed !  If you don't have reservations you will be standing for sure.  They pump up the volume so you can hear the game good.

Finally no mismatches or shot blockers to worry about. M has the advantage everywhere, and looking forward to the offense opening up with Z and MAAR, even Matthews, being able to drive with zero caution without a SWAT team in the paint. Michigan by 12+

Heard a lot of "Go Blue" this week here on vacation, except from two Sparty fans working at hotel who asked me how many Michigan shirts I have and why I was rubbing it in on them ( not enough is obvious answer).  This team can climb every mountain.  Going home today to watch from home tomorrow.  Happy Easter to everyone here too.
