Davis Moseley said the other night that TWill is gone (before he declared or enter the portal). Props to him, he's been killing it with info since May was hired.

T-Will gave a lot during his time at Michigan. I appreciate his work and effort.
It’s not surprising he is ready to move on. The team he knew is no longer there and he was probably not going to be a good fit in May’s scheme. Best of luck to him. He’ll always have that Tennessee game in the tourney to fondly look back on.

I saw T-Will as a guy that would be Charles Barkley like as a junior/senior.  He didn't reach that level but was a good all around player this past year.  I can see him being a solid piece on a good team next year.

I do think he would fit well in May's scheme.  Shoots well from 3, passes well, multi-talented.  However, there is a decent chance that either May or Williams didn't have the same opinion since he waited this long to enter the portal.

T Will gave his all for the program and the university.

Good luck and do something positive for the world with that M degree young man.

One of the few shining people on this team. He improved big time last year. Good luck to you sir. I’ll always remember the put back T-Will had against Tennessee.

I always liked T-Will. He frustrated the heck out of me these last two years, but he was asked to do more than I think his right role ideally would have been. In 2021 he was the perfect garbage man off the bench for a couple minutes and would hustle, rebound, and play D. He had two very important tip-ins vs LSU in the 2nd round of 2021 when LSU was starting to stretch a lead. In 2022 he had a great game at OSU without Hunter that helped us secure a bid.

Best of luck kid. Degree in hand, B1G champ, played in two tournaments and was one of the few this year whose effort never seemed to wane .

Good luck T Will. Not sure why but there was always a huge gap between fans’ expectations of how good he was versus his actual talent.

Best of luck to him. He stuck it out through some pretty tough times with a fanbase that never seemed to care much for what he could (or couldn’t) do on the court. Don’t care who you are, that’s tough to deal with.

Hope he can go get a fresh start somewhere else.

Wishing the best for TWill.  Hopefully his Michigan degree opens some doors for him.  Just reread his hello post. (Remember Isaiah Todd?  I didn't.  Michigan could have used him. Remember Josh Christopher?  I barely do.  Both of those guys are already out of the NBA and in the G-league.  At least TWill has a legacy and a degree.)

I remember Isaiah Todd, Josh Christopher, and Greg Brown. I was wondering the other day if landing any or all of them would have changed the trajectory of the program. My gut says no.

  • More exciting team to watch? Probably.
  • More wins? Not so sure -- none of them would have stuck around for more than a year anyway.
  • More consistency in the program? Can't see it.

I mean 6-7 225 wing, #103 in class.  Isn’t that exactly what we say are looking for in the portal/ recruiting here at 〽️?  Or am I listening wrong?

Hoping similar recruits have better luck with better development from the stafft?!?  At least I think that is the plan.

Good luck TWill- work hard and find a place that’ll coach you up!

He seemed to be in a funk his junior year where he was just drawn to make the wrong pass or play.  I'm glad he stuck around for his senior year (which was much better), but I thought a change of scenery might have helped him get a fresh start.

Good luck, T-Will.  Thanks for the Tennessee win :)

In the 2022 tournament, Williams had 9 points and 3 rebounds in 14 minutes against Tennessee.

He had two massive put backs with under 4 minutes to go to help Michigan close.

We don't win without him.

The story I read last night when he announced this (On3 maybe?) said he was in the portal but also declaring for the draft, probably to learn what to work on, and also hadn't shut the door on returning to Ann Arbor. It sounds like he's keeping all his options open, determining what he has to work on next season to move to the next level while also trying to maximize his NIL payouts.

Personally, I'd like to see him back. He's that 4th- or 5th-year guy who was always the backbone of the great Beilein teams, the savvy, mature veteran who knows how to make the right play at the right time.

Go get that (checks notes) uhh NIL money I guess.

Nice kid from all accounts and stayed loyal over the years - never really took the leap.  A player I could see coaches frustrated with in terms of decision making year after year - that NIT game will live in infamy.

Good luck, I stood behind him in line for a pretzel at the Michigan vs Washington game(2021). He paid attention and got his concessions in a timely manor. I'll always appreciate that.
