After getting a Stanford Degree, a Michigan Master's wouldn't be too shabby.
November 30th, 2022 at 7:43 PM ^
Not sure the credits would transfer

After receiving his undergraduate degree from the Michigan of the West, it is appropriate that he matriculates to the real Michigan for his graduate degree.

Talk about being prepared for life after football!
November 30th, 2022 at 6:59 PM ^
Yes, please!
November 30th, 2022 at 7:00 PM ^
Going after Herron would make a whole lot of sense for a variety of reasons. We'll see if we do
November 30th, 2022 at 7:01 PM ^
Herron picked Stanford over Michigan in the first recruitment.
November 30th, 2022 at 7:08 PM ^
I believe he was actually committed to Michigan at one point.
December 1st, 2022 at 12:25 AM ^
But then . . . ?
November 30th, 2022 at 7:02 PM ^
You can never have too much quality depth on the defensive line.
November 30th, 2022 at 8:13 PM ^
Any idea where we might need a transfer?
Maybe center.
QB depth
November 30th, 2022 at 8:29 PM ^
Linebacker. Cornerback. Defensive end.
December 1st, 2022 at 12:06 PM ^
Another RB would be nice too. Corum is certainly gone after this year and while Stokes has been good for a frosh, more depth is badly needed.
December 1st, 2022 at 8:47 PM ^
Agree. We are gonna be hard up for depth next year if stokes doesn't see the gaps.
November 30th, 2022 at 8:37 PM ^
Greg Crippen would have been the center if we hadn't picked up Olu. He's a 4 star from IMG that was that burned his redshirt last year in just over the minimum games. Fortunately with Olu, I believe he's regained that year of eligibility and should anchor the line for the next couple of years.
At QB, we are losing Cade of course as well as Bowman, but we've got Davis Warren as well as Orji and Denegal. Doubt anyone of interest will come to sit behind JJ.
NHG is the key to our portal needs. If he's back, then we're OK at LB. If not, then we need another piece. In tandem with that is Kalel Mullings. Will he be a LB or RB next year? I would be interested in a RB as we will continue to pound the ball with this OL next year, but maybe Kalel can pick up some of those duties in 2023.
November 30th, 2022 at 8:53 PM ^
Kalel will move to QB and we’ll pick up a linebacker in the portal.
November 30th, 2022 at 9:25 PM ^
Are we sure NHG is the answer? I’m not saying that he won’t be good, but I don’t recall him being Devin Bush II when he was playing.
Frankly, LB and receiver are the only spots I don’t just assume are being developed into excellence by the coaches at this point. What a difference from a couple of years ago.
November 30th, 2022 at 9:52 PM ^
We all would like to have the next Bush here, but those guys aren't typically found in the portal.
December 1st, 2022 at 5:21 AM ^
Maybe not excellence but nut crushers, and I’m fine with that.
December 1st, 2022 at 7:24 AM ^
NHG was physical and if memory serves he was always in the correct place. Him doing his job while Colson kinda goes willy nilly sometimes is ok I think. But depth is still a concern either way
December 1st, 2022 at 10:08 AM ^
Coach Harbaugh said in his post game presser to Mike Barrett "Hope you're back next season" "You to Mikey" Looking at Sainristil. I think getting Barrett back would be a huge step forward. IMO he is the most improved player on the team from last year to this and that is really saying something with McCarthy on the team. Barrett really stepped up and we are not in the position we are without him this season. I think Rolder got quite a bit of run vs OSU and for a young LB no glaring mistakes. Having Colson and Barrett back in the middle next year with our blossoming DL makes this another very good defense if we can replace a few departures in the secondary. I believe you are looking at a blossoming star in Will Johnson and the word on McBurrows was he'd be playing if not hurt. Unbelievable how far this program has come especially in development of players!
November 30th, 2022 at 7:05 PM ^
It's always nice to have more depth along the DL.
But oh boy, how good does it feel to already have a stacked DL and not need to rely on transfers? To me that's been the greatest change since Macdonald and Minter took over the defense.
November 30th, 2022 at 8:29 PM ^
Shoutout to Recruiting Coordinator/D Line Coach Mike Elston. He’s been a great addition from the Domers.
November 30th, 2022 at 8:36 PM ^
Better to say, he came back home to AA.
November 30th, 2022 at 10:38 PM ^
Elston is the reason this young man needs to seriously consider coming here as a grad transfer.
November 30th, 2022 at 7:06 PM ^
A blast from the past with Herron. Again, kick the tires and see if there's mutual interest. Had a solid final year after not really doing anything for most of his time on the Farm.
November 30th, 2022 at 7:08 PM ^
Pick em up!
November 30th, 2022 at 9:35 PM ^
Mock-yeah!
November 30th, 2022 at 7:23 PM ^
Let's bag him.

Not sure his academics will be up to snuff though. /s

Take.
November 30th, 2022 at 8:46 PM ^
Have we ever had a transfer by someone Harbaugh originally offered coming out of high school?
November 30th, 2022 at 11:05 PM ^
I have the same question. Not just for Harbaugh but anyone.
December 1st, 2022 at 12:28 AM ^
We have a history of coming in second for so many guys that sooner or later we are going to get one of them back.
December 1st, 2022 at 7:58 AM ^
Okie and Patterson. We were high for both during recruitment I believe.
November 30th, 2022 at 9:03 PM ^
Michigan got several guys last year in the setting of coaching changes. This would fit the pattern.
He's closer to Harrell in size (6'3", 237) than he is Morris:

Was bummed when we missed out on him. Would be a nice add.
November 30th, 2022 at 9:34 PM ^
do Learfield Directors' Cup rules permit a Stanford-to-Michigan transfer?
November 30th, 2022 at 10:08 PM ^
I feel like we see these situations of former commits/cruits in the portal, but never see them coming or showing interest transferring.
Are there instances of former recruits ending up transferring to their initial final school(s)?
December 1st, 2022 at 2:18 AM ^
Since we are on the topic of the portal. You all see that Logan Brown from Wisconsin is in the portal? I mean he was a highly touted recruit coming out of Michigan. So I would think the staff would go for him. Especially with the success the oline has had.
December 1st, 2022 at 8:43 AM ^
Logan Brown is transferring to Kansas.
December 1st, 2022 at 9:23 AM ^
staff wants nothing to do with him since he he got kicked off of Wisconsin's team for punching a teammate (thus being in the portal) and he also barely played.
do NOT want
December 1st, 2022 at 10:13 AM ^
This staff especially since you heard of the dissention on the team in 2020 has really focused on the culture. Harbaugh even said it we don't concern ourselves with stars by their name we want football players who fit. I think this philosophy is winning out in the last game of the season more then anywhere. I know that is an easy take but even the announcers were mentioning the differing demeanors on each teams sideline Saturday. Was music to my ears.
