Always nice to see the people with money on the line feel this way. Love that Iowa is listed at +100000.

Makes sense. Michigan basically won the quarterfinals against Ohio State, Georgia still has to play theirs against Bama. If Michigan and Georgia win their conferences, Georgia will go back to being the favorite.

I can't agree with that at all. If all 3 win their championship games, Georgia will be the favorite and Michigan will be a close second, like they were before playing OSU. I can't see Michigan's odds moving higher if they win. It will be something like Georgia +170, Michigan +190 and Oregon +350.

Oregon is currently +500 and -300 to beat Washington. If you do the math, that's roughly equivalent to +350. Everyone's odds will be a little higher if Texas is the 4th team instead of FSU.

You can also bet on either UGA or M winning it all, -220 yes. +168 no.

You never know.

Both Oregon State and Louisville lost, so will drop.  Iowa may move up to 15.  Their defense has a super strong reputation.

If we blow them out with offense and look great, and if Georgia struggles against Alabama and barely win in a close game, that may be enough to give us the edge.

Not likely, but possible.

Yep. And I’d agree with that. If I could will us a victory over Georgia i dam sure would. Georgia is OSU with a few more 5 stars, a qb and one hell of a lot better coaching. Until we beat them they will and should be the favorite. But JJ and this team are truly something special and no one does more with what they have than this staff. Who else in college football gets 3 stars to play like 5s? Nobody!

Agree but just for fun what happens if

Georgia wins against Bama

Washington wins against Oregon

Texas loses in conference championship

Florida State loses in conference championship

Iowa wins against Michigan by 5 touchdowns

It would basically come down to two of the following teams making it:

1 loss non conference champion Ohio State

1 loss non conference champion with backup QB Florida State

2 loss non conference champion Texas

2 loss non conference champion Bama

2 loss non conference champion Oregon

2 loss conference champion Iowa

Just for giggles, who ya picking?

I know Iowa is a meme, and all, but I sure hope the team is taking this game more seriously than the fanbase is. I mean, I read Iowatch most weeks. I know their "offense" can't score points. But Michigan is going to have to play a good game to win. They aren't going to just get handed the Big Ten trophy for walking into Lucasoil Stadium.

Oh, for sure. They curb stomped them two years ago. But it has been an insanely emotional month. They just eked out three very close wins in very difficult circumstances under the guidance of an interim coach. This team is obviously extremely focused, but it wouldn't be at all unexpected for a team in their situation to have a letdown at this point. It's tough to be on it 100% of the time.

They will not be handed anything.  They will rip it out of Lil Tony's mangled fingers after Jim gives him a fully weaponized handshake and soul sucking stare.

The surviving Hawkeyes will be in the corner pleading for mercy, a quality Wolveri es are well known for.

I can't see this team doing anything but handling their business.  The ass kicking business.

They got it last year because they really only needed one thing to happen: they needed Utah to beat USC, and they got it.

They need so much more this year.

1) Texas needs to lose. If Texas wins, OSU is out, because they will be ahead of OSU in the rankings no matter what.

2) FSU needs to lose. Possible, but I'd still say not likely.

3) Georgia needs to beat Alabama very convincingly, or vice versa. Probably a blowout, and the game needs to be so one-sided that everyone knows the loser is knocked out of the top-4. And I don't think that's how this game is going to go. This one might be close to a coin flip, because its hard to bet against Saban in a "do or die" situation.

---

SEC champ is getting in regardless. Assume Michigan wins, which they should, and they're in. PAC-12 champ is getting in regardless of who wins. That leaves the final spot between FSU, Texas, the loser of the Alabama/Georgia game, and OSU.

OSU needs so many different dominoes to fall because they're not playing this weekend. Its possible for them to fall into the playoff ass-first like they did last year, but instead of only needing one result to happen like they did last year, they need 3-4.

Wish in one hand......
