El-Hadi and Colson should easily outperform SI's expectations.....

So do we like SIs recruiting rankings the most now?

Sports Illustrated has high school scouts?

probably an intern who evaluates based on the 247 rankings

Don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me. For years they've been highlighting top HS athletes in all sports, sometimes with great accuracy. Last year while cleaning my attic, I came across an SI from the 90's that featured a high school basketball player they called the best in the country. Some kid named Lebron James.
Wonder what happened to him?

and the state of Michigan has.............1 representative in Damon Payne.
Florida by contrast has 16.

Good for Floriduh. When they schedule that payday game with Michigan St, err, Ferris St, they'll have plenty of local flair to ensure the 'rivalry' is heated.

And Ohio State has 10 commits of the 99 players on the list ?

I...I...do not agree with these. Dixon is top-100? Quintin Somerville is top-60? Hmmm...
August 25th, 2020 at 1:56 PM ^
For sure on Dixon.
August 25th, 2020 at 2:15 PM ^
I also am not as high on Dixon as you and SI seem to be.

And no Donovan Edwards in the top 99.
August 26th, 2020 at 9:44 AM ^
This invalidates the list.

Can't wait to see J.J. throw to all of these speedy, talented receivers.
So much potential on the offensive side of the ball.
GO BLUE ??

+1 Agreed so looking forward to what Gattis can do with this group. I am very optimistic.

A top 99 that doesn't contain Donovan Edwards is not credible and just something to get clicks or sell magazines (if they still exist). The absence of Spindler clinches it as well for me.

I wish the coaches would have pursued Tristan Leigh (SI#61) sooner. My son is a teammate of his at Robinson HS, and this kid is an impressive OT on the field and an exceptional human off the field...true class act!

Where is he headed?
August 25th, 2020 at 9:36 PM ^
Nobody really knows right now but the presumed leader is LSU with Clemson, OSU, Oklahoma, and Alabama in the mix. Some of the more delusional OSU fans believe they have a chance or that they might even lead but I doubt it. From what I remember Michigan actually offered Leigh pretty early and he even visited once. I think Michigan was in the mix at one point but both sides kinda mutual parted ways after Michigan got some new targets and Leigh got some big offers.

Xavier also got a really nice bump on rivals today, so that’s cool.

Sweet.

@Magic_Fan: The last time I talked with him was about (2) months ago, while we were working with incoming sophomore linemen (my son’s class) at the HS, and we did not discuss colleges...but he was sporting a Michigan shirt :) He tends to wear the swag from visits, so that had no bearing.
Last I heard, his Mom said LSU was atop his list, but this was at the end of the school year. I certainly do not know his destination, but wherever he chooses will be getting one helleuva player.
