Semi-OT as well Pistons start SL against Orlando Wolverines
Magic starting Houstan, Howard and D.J. Wilson against the young Pistons.
With Howard playing the 2, Orlando Wolverines are just preparing for their all-UM lineup this coming year:
--Houston (G)
--Howard (G)
--F. Wagner (SF)
--D.J. Wilson (PF)
--Mo Wagner (C)
Course, I doubt D.J. makes the Magic. He really is not showing much with his 25 minutes today.
Houston still showing a sweet stroke today that will keep him on the team.
was it a home game?
*Houstan
Who is SL? Why is he starting?
Stuart Little? Quick, elusive, but kinda diminutive. Spike Lee? Good basketball mind but again a little small even at point, also getting up there in age. Shelley Long? Sergio Leone?
Stan Lee
come on gang, get it together. obviously meant to say 'simon legree'.
he's a baller!
Summer League. The Magic squad started three Wolverines: Jett, Caleb, and DJ.
X (unfortunately) and Livers (unsurprisingly) were DNPs for the Pistons.
Thank you for the translation.
Woohoo! UNDEFEATED
Disappointed to not see some of Simpson out there for Pistons.
Jett: 3 - 13
Caleb: 4-12
Seems about right.
DJ was 0 for 4 but 4 for 6 from the line.
IL did not play for the Pistons
Jett's plus/minus was -15. Seems about right.
Also, he had no fouls, a sign of matador defense.
I do hope Houstan figures it out but it does seem like he's Just a Shooter who isn't all that good as a shooter, which isn't a recipe for a long NBA career.
Jett I'll give some time even though his defensive deficiencies are likely to hold him back from getting consistent playing time this year
Houstan: “Am I a chucker?”
Kramer: “Oh, you’re a chucker.”
Again no one in this blog knows about basketball or seems to follow it much. Caleb first off should only be a sophomore in college. He skipped a class. According to the Magic they knew he would take some time and they are very happy with his 3 and D type of game. Will he ever be a superstar probably not but he can be a great piece on a championship team. Caleb is still young and had a lot of talent and will only get better
Regarding Jett the Magic were impressed and happy with his defense and his ability to run an offense. Jett is going to be fine and will be a good starter on an NBA team he plays with
Kobe made his debut for the Hawks tonight in a loss to the Kings. He had 8 points (good), 8 turnovers (bad), and was 0-8 from 3 (putrid).
The Pistons also have Captain Hook (Zavier Simpson) coming off the bench as well, so 4 wolverines were on screen for this one
