What is your prediction of Saturday’s score.

I say 34-10 Michigan.

Nope. I had ND as a loss actually. Infact I posted that I don't have a great feeling for that game. It played out like that. People think ND is nothing..uhh..they were really good last year and got unlucky to be beaten by Georgia.

We played bad but it felt like Utah 2015 to me. We will gel.

I have M beating MSU and OSU as toss up at the moment.

Michigan will put up a lot of points, but I think give up some big plays. If I'm an OC against Don Brown, the answer is to bomb it and pray it works out.

42-17

You're right. Don's defenses at Michigan were built to stop the JT barett offense and it worked pretty damn well. Unfortunately, OSU now has the best passing QB in the B1G (possibly the country, we'll see). Doesn't bode well.

i can see a close first half that opens up in the second half. People will see moments of brilliance and moments of “WTF?!”

At the end of the game, we will all still be wondering how good the team can / could be because we are playing WMU.

I agree with your last statement.

If the offense struggles to score points in this game, then it's probably a harbinger of things to come for the rest of the season.

But even if we win big and score a lot, we still won't really know if it's a result of improvements or just because Western is that bad..I mean they gave up 55 to Syracuse for goodness sake. I don't think we'll get an accurate assessment of this team again until either the Nebraska or the Northwestern game.

Going to be a big day for Shea.  Need to practice that red zone passing.  SP is 23-35, 375 yards and 4TDs.  Higdon carries 15 times for 125 yards.  Mason gets in the action this week with a TD rushing and a TD passing (cleaning up for Higdon's solid efforts).  Collins has a big-play day with 7 catches and 2 TDs.  Evans makes guys miss in route to a 50 yard YAC TD gem.  Quinn kicks a 59 yarder for the student section (yes, it would have been good from 70).  DPJ takes a punt to the house in the 4th quarter to the squeals of many a co-ed.  WMU scores 17 late points against all those frosh on the field.

UM 45  WMU 17

I think we score quickly to start off with but the score stays relatively close (probably within 10-14) at halftime, and this place will be melting down. Some points will left off the board while the tackle positions still show some issues.

Second half shows Michigan gradually build on the lead. My guess will be 42-14. I just want to see Shea be able to operate with a clean pocket and have time to go through his reads. He (and the whole offense) need a game like this to get things settled.

Michigan 20

Western 14

Western has the ball driving to win the game late in the 4th but turns it over with less than 1.5 minutes left to seal the W.

Michigan is up 21-7 at the half.

Some bad play in the 3rd quarter and the score is 21-17 with the crowd booing.

Michigan puts it away in the 4th.

35-17

21-10 Michigan. Would like to see the Offensive line do better. The play calling to improve. The Defense to contain the edge...

Ambry Thomas has kickoff return and one punt return for TD's. He also throw's the ball deep, runs underneath and catches it for the touchdown in the fourth.

In typical fashion everyone overreacts to one game of information about the team and posts gloom and doom about the next game. Western has a truly awful defense that got lit up by Cuse for 34 points in the first half. Michigan 55- Western 7. Higdon and Evans both crack 100 on the ground. Patterson adds a long rushing td of his own.

31-13.

Offensive line struggles again, raising alarm level from 7.5 to 9.5. Even the optimistic bunch will seek room alongside me in my bomb shelter. We will console one another the rest of the year and hope senselessly that those three posters who keep saying, “but it’s only one or two mistakes. Once they correct those, we’ll be fine,” are right. Though we know they are Sisyphusian fools who will be crushed yet again and die an ignominious death.
