Ono is awesome and he does get sports, but I am a little concerned about the, "in the long run" part. It's that part that makes me feel like he is going to do something in the short term that the players may not feel is in their interest. Hope not, but it read a little weird to me

This feels surprising. A major university president has LOTS of things to attend to, and is not likely to randomly pass out kudos to any part of the university.
So I'm guessing this is either a response to the brouhaha or his vaunted fondness for the university teams is not just PR but legit.

Nice pic. I’m just going to say this: Joey Velazquez (#29 front row, third from left) is for some reason absolutely ripped. I don’t know how he plays baseball with that body, and yet also doesn’t make it onto the field as a LB or fullback or somewhere for Michigan.

I had high hopes for Velazquez when he signed. Seemed like the type of 3 star/multi sport athlete from Ohio that we would turn into a real player. He may have just gotten lost in the transition away from the Viper position, and because he’s such a good kid, just decided to stay.
