Road jerseys: to trim or not to trim?
So, if Michigan were to make a change to their road jerseys, would you be in favor of going back to the old look of solid Blue numbers like some players are sporting in practice?
They sported this look of solid Blue numbers until Nike introduced the Maize trim to the numbers in 1997.
Personally, this is my favorite Michigan road jersey.

And looking at his jersey compared to the others, I do like it. It's clean.

Slap the 2 blue stripes from the Sugar Bowl on the arms, and Block M's on the shoulder, and call it a day Adidas.

of Michigan football in the mid 80's. Therefore, ideally the uniforms should look like they did then.

That way we could get rid of the "MeatChicken" moniker... Just sayin.

What does that moniker have to do with our pants? (I seriously don't know)

= Meatchicken...

Adidas tests new products on a select number of players. They then use thier feedback in the development process. Maybe it is a new design but I think the more likely story is that it is a new jersey technology that they are testing.
I think you are right. If you look at the players in the new all whites, they don't have the names on the back. If you are testing them out, why bother with putting a name on the back.

but I do love the short white socks that Peppers is sporting. I hate hate hate black socks
Black socks look a ton better.. White socks look like were in the 80's.

I've always LOVED our home unis, but never liked the white jerseys for away games... just too pedestrian. I'd love to see an all maize uniform (like MBB) for away games (thought the all blue unis for the penn st game were cool last year).

MY REITINAS ARE BURNING!
To steal a quote from The Onion, "Remember that this here is a football game, not a goddamn fashion show"

No more so than these...
Another year of DB and we'd have had a sweet maize field/court to showcase the unis.

Exactly! When the hell did white become one of our school colors?
All teams wear a white jersey on the road (unless they're playing one of those oddball teams like LSU that wears white at home).
Yes, but why? If the 2 schools are easily distinguishable in their school colors, why use white?
I didnt care for the blue unis at all. We looked like West Virginia.
Would prefer if the "mess with" the road uniforms and leave the home ones alone.
Also, along the lines of uniforms, would like to see The Game be Blue vs Red regardless of where it is played.

I like the practice unis a lot, even though they look like ND away uniforms.. Not real sure why we mess with our uniforms so damn much.
AC with stripeless sleeves b/c his first jersey had torn away and was on number 2, 3, or 4...I think the stickers look cool here in a roughed up, beat to hell, we've been in the trenches way.
A few years ago we had practice jerseys with the adidas stripes on the sleeves. Those were fine too. No maize is necessary given the uniform pants and the maize on the helmets.
We also got new home jerseys, look at Shane Morris
That's just a jersey they wear in practice. An old one actually. The 2015 Shockwebs are different.
Thanks, good to know.
