As long as the pressure rate is high, sacks, turnovers or incompletions are almost always the inevitable outcome.  Very few college QB's are good enough to stay unrattled and throw into the teeth of an oncoming rush.  This is what separates starting NFL QB's that you can with, from the other 99.99% of society.

Stroud looks flawless when given time, and is a completely different QB under pressure. This and our ball control offense is why I feel good about our chances in CBUS this year.

Bryce Young and Hendon Hooker on the other hand, look like legit NFL QB's that can throw from collapsing pockets.

Since JH arrived:

Wormley, Taco, Winovich, Gary, Paye, Uche, Hutchinson, Ojabo, Morris, Okie.

Find me a team that has had 10 edge rushers to that quality in the past 8 years.

Not just that, but how many "who dat" edges have become superstars.  It's one thing to be Nick Bosa coming out of high school and another to take guys who are 3 stars and turn them into first round draft picks.  I can't imagine an Edge NOT wanting to get that kind of development no matter where they are starting from.

Wouldn't surprise me if Bama had similar results, but I'll bet the majority of their guys are top 100 prospects. Michigan has really been hitting on identifying and developing talent. Guys like Hurst, Paye, Uche, Winovich, Morris, etc. played at a level that far exceeds their recruiting rankings

Wait a minute...The OL won the Moore Award as the best OL in the country last year, and - it seems to be on track to compete for the award this year too.

Now, you've got Rashan Gary saying this stuff.  Look at Aidan Hutchinson - he only finished - what, second?  in last year's Heisman trophy.

So, is Michigan "Pass Rush U", or "OL U"?   It's confusing.   I think Michigan is becoming both - just "football line U" - it doesn't matter which line you're talking about.

And, on a more serious note - the comments from both Rashan and Aidan give some nice insight to the dynamic in the Michigan locker room and on the practice field.  It's culture - and, though it may have taken longer than many of us would have preferred - the foundation seems to be there for a while.

Wishing Rashan, Aidan, and all Michigan football alumni - success on Sundays.

Glad that Rashan Gary doesn't come off as bitter. He was in a role here which definitely led to supressing his counting stats.

Remember that he got double teamed on almost every play (because he could beat anyone 1-on-1), and also had a lot of extra run game/contain responsibility. That left Winovich the role of QB Destroyer.

Also, he played during the Where's Our DTs years.

Glad he's settled into the NFL and is making a good career out of it. I wasn't sure the Packers quite knew how to use him at first.

Packers have held every team to under 30 this year. On the flip side Rodgers and the offense haven’t scored 30. Seriously though the packers D is better than their O. Gary is a star on that team. Pack ‘D’played lights out against the 49ers in the playoffs and would have won if the offense could score any points or just get a first down, except 3 and outs. 9ers went for it on 4th but we’re stuffed. Rodgers just needs a first down or two to end the game but goes 3 and out giving the ball back and losing on a field goal. Glad Gary can play for such an organization that is utilizing him well.
Also cold weather is football weather. No better stadium to play in. Seattle, Boston, Chicago, Buffalo, and NY and Cleveland to an extent have cold, snowy games. Regardless of the outcome those games are epic for fans and players. Opt for many layers over one jacket. The one jacket can be an outer layer. You will be gloves, maybe slim gloves inside larger gloves. Make sure the fingers fit well and no mits as those are harder to hold your beer or carrying multiple beers. Heavy socks and winter boots.  I have my cathartt bibs on so I’m more comfortable than I would be at home on the couch.

It's always great seeing ex-players giving love to the team, like I also recently saw Kwity Paye tweeting that Ben Herbert is the best in the country, Chris Hinton retweeting a guy who was saying that Harbaugh has nothing but love for his players, and tons of NFL Wolverines like DPJ retweeting stuff about Paul Bunyan coming home. The vibes from the team right now are unmatched

Similarly in stark contrasts to MSU: when is the last time the team has had some off field disciplinary issues? Grant Perry 6 years ago?

Brandon Graham is still in the league too right? Love seeing Gary still repping us in the league. And especially love everyone who said because he didn't have 800 sacks for us he wasn't a good prospect eat crow.

I was thinking of this yesterday.  Recent first rounders Paye, Hutchinson, Ojabo*, and next is Morris, and maybe Okie.  And Gary should have been, the traitor Mattison didn't use him right.

I mean it’s not even really an exaggeration at this point. We’ve been producing NFL talent at the position for like a decade at this point and it’s not like we’re bringing in 5*s every year like OSU. Like congrats your 5* DEs are good like they’re supposed to be
