Quavaris Crouch to Michigan State (Tennessee Portal)
Don't shoot the messenger, but the former Michigan target is headed to MSU for some reason.
For the truly masochistic, his 247 page.
April 27th, 2021 at 10:52 AM ^
What is interesting is what is the reason. Wasn't he the recruit that wanted to play RB but is only elite if he plays the LB position (or something like that)?
April 27th, 2021 at 11:37 AM ^
He actually scored a few touchdowns as a RB at the goal line for Tennessee.
April 27th, 2021 at 10:53 AM ^
So what are the chances that he wanted to go to Michigan but admissions wouldn't take him?
April 27th, 2021 at 10:57 AM ^
Standards. Thats what Dicktonio exploited. Why wouldnt Mel?
April 27th, 2021 at 11:53 AM ^
If everything we read is true, why pick Stae, over Bama, A&M and Florida?
He couldn't pass up the opportunity to take the "Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse" class.
Tuition money is literally spent on such a course in East Lansing. He gets to take it for free
Well he’s an undergrad, meaning he would likely have some issues with credits transferring. Michigan’s staff probably also realizes this and doesn’t even attempt to pursue.
April 28th, 2021 at 11:19 PM ^
Plus he’s a top recruit who signed with Tennessee at the time it was in the midst of a massive recruiting scandal. He’s not a take.
April 27th, 2021 at 11:00 AM ^
Have to give Mel some credit. I don't think he can coach but he's definitely upping the talent level.
April 27th, 2021 at 11:16 AM ^
Well Mel is undefeated against Michigan, sadly, so there’s that.
April 27th, 2021 at 11:23 AM ^
He's still 7-12 as a head coach, and was a shitty defensive coordinator before that. Just cuz he beat an awful Michigan team with Don Brown letting his offense do the only thing it was capable of over and over again doesn't really mean he can coach.
April 27th, 2021 at 11:32 AM ^
But those Don Brown adjustments with his CBs getting torched again and again almost turned the......oh fuck never mind.
April 27th, 2021 at 11:39 AM ^
There was absolutely no reason MSU should have won that game. You can blame Don Brown, but that game was a complete failure on every level for Michigan.
April 27th, 2021 at 11:46 AM ^
Quite possibly the worst UofM coaching performance in my lifetime.
Harbaugh had a chance to humiliate his in state rival and start throwing dirt on his life cycle right off the bat.
God, that game was brutal. It definitely gives anything RR or Hoke did a run for its money for being the worst this century.
April 27th, 2021 at 12:02 PM ^
Didn't Tucker coach a couple top 10 defenses at Georgia? Top 5 when they went to the title game?
He's probably a decent coach, has good assistants though. I think he's going to be the best recruiter MSU has had since Saban though.
We get our house in order and we should beat Tucker 2 of every 3 seasons.
April 27th, 2021 at 12:36 PM ^
I think I could coach a top 5 defense at Georgia with that kind of talent. Plus it's probably Smart's defense anyways. Mel's defenses on the Bears were atrocious, probably the only time I can ever remember the Bears having a bad defense.
And winless against Rutgers. So there's that.
April 27th, 2021 at 12:00 PM ^
He was a smart enough coach to let ROCKY LOMBARDI shred our hapless pass defense by repeatedly going long and deep. That was pure coaching genius.
Everyone should of been fired after that msu game! That was beyond embarrassing!
Mel Tucker asked his doctor if Quavaris was right for him.
This is an underrated comment
If Harbaugh loses to MSU again he should immediately be fired.

CORRECTION: Crouch is going to Michagen State
April 27th, 2021 at 11:11 AM ^
Holy fuck, you would think you could actually spell the university you would be attending - wouldn't that be kind of a big deal? I am not big on being the grammar police, and actually frown on those that are, but that is on another level.
April 27th, 2021 at 12:57 PM ^
The even crazier thing is that he actively declined the keyboard auto suggestion for how to correctly spell Michigan
I once interviewed someone that went to the University of Phenix. Unfortunately for them, they met my expectations of someone that misspells their alma mater on their resume.
April 27th, 2021 at 11:14 AM ^
University of Michagen state.... everything about it is wrong
April 27th, 2021 at 11:17 AM ^
At the same time, it also says everything you need to know . . .
April 27th, 2021 at 11:44 AM ^
Yeah you are probably correct. Those wondering why he did not come to Mechegen University of, well there is you are anser.
April 27th, 2021 at 11:56 AM ^
This is the best part. Wasn't it Terrell Pryor that called OSU, the University of Ohio State?
Everyone syntaxes.

"What you see doesn't make me great it's what's lives inside of me."
I'm sorry, but.....WHAT?????
April 27th, 2021 at 11:21 AM ^
Alien baby.
April 27th, 2021 at 11:49 AM ^
What do you not understand? it is what is inside of him. Maps in Africa. Our children's education. Such as. (insert gif of that poor miss Teen USA 2007 from South Carolina)
Almost as hard to watch as BOOM GOES THE DYNOMITE

That girl, Caite "Please-do-call-me-Kate" Upton is now Professor Emeritus at University of South Carolina.
At first I was like “no fucking way” then I realized you were likely being hilariously sarcastic. There’s no way she’s a prof.
She's actually a realtor in Brentwood, according to her Wiki page. Good for her.

I know but let us thank the Lord God Almighty for this new meme that we are all about to continue to partake of #michagen
April 27th, 2021 at 11:57 AM ^
He may already be the smartest player on the team.
And Xavier Worthy couldn't get past UM admissions !!!
Jeez man....don't want to get on the guy too much but that's just embarrassing. The perception is that he typed that exactly how he thought it was spelled, that is not an iphone slip up. Ooof
That statement further demonstrates that the nation's public education system is a cataclysmic failure, but that's for another forum.
April 28th, 2021 at 11:32 AM ^
You mean the University of Michagen State lmao
UMS is my faverit skool
April 27th, 2021 at 11:09 AM ^
Given that Tennessee is about get hit with sanctions for buying top players, I think it's safe to assume that Michigan wanted no part of this guy. And rightly so.
April 27th, 2021 at 11:16 AM ^
I don't think we even tried pursuing him. I think his transfer has to do with a new coaching staff. It shouldn't be surprising to see someone like this transfer with a coaching change. However, it is somewhat surprising he is going to MSU. This could potentially be a big pick up. I think he was once rated a 5 star RB. Then switched to LB and was a top 100 player in the country.
April 27th, 2021 at 11:31 AM ^
Lorenz has said Michigan didn't pursue because he just wasn't very good at Tenn.
There has also been some renewed interest by UM for Henry To’oto’o, which we previously thought was shut down because we wouldn’t want to touch any of those players with a 10ft pole. According to a small update I read on 247 a week or two ago, UM had picked back up in trying to recruit him. And I don’t think anyone would disagree that he was the better LB of the two and it wasn’t super close
I saw that as well, but I've mostly seen assumptions that he'll end up at OSU.
