What sucks about starting so late is that there are no bye weeks built in to move games around to. Not sure why the conference couldn't have started early October and gave some breathing room.

Ok, how about playing October 10th and playing the same amount of games and the same rules in place? That wouldve gave 2 bye weeks mixed in. Don't think covid wouldve been any different on October 10th.

It’s because there were programs shut down until late September. Starting the season Oct 10 means they get a 2-3 week camp while everyone else gets a full one. Maybe they did try to to start earlier and these programs said no to having less time in camp.

9/124 or whatever it is versus 12+% probable infection rate overall. Don't quote the US overall CDC cases number, surely you must understand that number means nearly nothing given they barely tested in the beginning.
Coaches are looking safer to me.
