Please please go get Joe Brady!!

Someone on this board please tell me why he’s not the guy? What he did in a short time at LSU was great. He has learned from Sean Payton & Matt Rhule. My thoughts are him & Venables are 1 and 1A options. One of those two should accept for the right amount.

It’s about the QB. Gotta find a guy who can get more out of this position. Why not Brady who in 1 year had Burrow playing best of any college QB ever! Bridgewater has been decent this year. They have played well since Mcaf went out, not much talent on that team.

Starting to think Greg Roman was than brains behind the entire Harbaugh rise. And then Vic Fangio took it to the next level with his defense in San Fran.

Fangio's 49ers and Bears defenses were elite, and you can see what Roman is doing with Lamar Jackson and Baltimore.

Folks, this isn't about assistant coaches. Last week Warinner was the best. This week the OL doesn't show up. Along with everyone else. I've been behind Harbaugh all along but eventually it ain't about the underlings. The team underperforming, especially in key games, has been a consistent feature of Harbaugh's tenure and after six years it is what it is.

Why does everyone just throw out the hot OC name for the solution when they dislike their head coach? Last time Michigan did that, they welcomed the RichRod era. Good times.

Could he be the answer? I guess. But so could about 150 other names. That's what an interview process is about.

And if he was only the OC, I'd be right there with you. But he was the Head Coach meaning he's responsible for that terrible defense.

Rich Rod is one of the few coaches where you can truly identify the absolute peak of his career--kickoff before the 2007 WVU-Pitt game.

RichRod was the Head Coach at West Virginia. He wasn’t the OC of a championship team. There’s a team just to the south of us who hired their oc to take over and they seem to be doing just fine.

I’m okay with keeping Harbaugh and completely overhauling the rest of the staff, including Dudek. Every single hire will be someone young, hungry, and they need to be Great recruiters. Look at osu, almost every single position Coach is a top recruiter.  Coombs isn’t young, but he’s energetic and a great recruiter, Brian Hartline, great recruiter. Al Washington, great recruiter. Corey Dennis, great recruiter. I don’t care if they know their X’s and O’s better than the next guy. If you can excel at recruiting, you’re on the staff. In college you win with talent.

It’s paramount we find a guy who has proven to have a track record with QB’s. This program has had brutal QB play since harbaugh arrived. CB’s sucked today. DL sucked today. Reality is you held them to 27. You should win in college holding teams to under 30. Our QB isn’t ready. We haven’t had one worth a lick since Rudock.

Yeah, not even "thought to" -- actually had a very legit proven track record with QBs.

If you're upset with Harbaugh and demand UM fire him to hire a guy with proven experience with QBs, you are essentially asking UM to hire whoever is the current Harbaugh, and thus, repeat this cycle all over again, which is perhaps the stupidest, most short-sighted, least self-aware take that only backs up theory that all sports fans are idiots.

Nice job.

How about we just take a deep breath and see how the rest of the covid year goes. Completely new OL, new corners, and new QB, and an insane context in which to prep them. Then not being permitted either to jam receivers or stick with them in the backfield, or to call out defensive plays at the line. And the QB himself basically said that he screwed up the reads and the throws all game. There was a lot to fix. Let's see how fixing it goes.

I'd like a different DC at the least.

Gattis shows promise, today was a head scratcher though. That wildcat crap for 2 straight plays was straight up garbage decision making, you already have a QB who can run that, who can actually throw.

Also, why the fuck didn't Harbaugh' challenge that catch in the 4th QT that ended in the nail in the coffin TD for MSU?

That really pissed me off, he has been a really average coach at a program that has all the potential to be top tier if done correctly.

Joe Brady is going to be coaching the Jets, Falcons, Lions, or some other NFL team that fires its coach before this season is over.  Hell, I won’t be surprised if Sean Payton retires and hands Brady the keys to the kingdom in New Orleans. I’m not sure how much longer Payton stays after Brees retires. That is NOT something Michigan can even remotely compete with.

I’m sorry but he’s too good for Michigan. We have the money but just not the clout to bring a guy like that in. And even if we did, Warde isn’t getting rid of Harbaugh. Not without a scandal or year by year increases of losing.

You're correct about Brady - he's an NFL lifer now.  However, we will be losing a lot more games this year.  If the defense plays like it did yesterday, we'll lose to Indiana, Penn State, Wisconsin, and Ohio State.  Perhaps even Rutgers.  There's a case to say we don't look like a sure-fire win over Maryland after yesterday's performance.  All of the remaining teams on the schedule can beat the Michigan team that played yesterday.

We were very fortunate Minnesota has regressed hard and Fleck is more inept than Harbaugh seems to be.

How you don't at least start making a run at Larry Johnson at OSU is beyond me.  I'd back up the Brinks truck for him right about now.  He'll be a head coach somewhere soon - that's a matter of time.

Larry Johnson has been coaching with either PSU or OSU with success since 96. If he wanted to be a head coach by now he would be. Guessing he’s had chance to at smaller programs, but passed on those chances hoping something bigger would come along. I know age isn’t everything, but he’s 75+ yrs ole and yes, I realize Saban is almost 70, but I don’t think Johnson is who UM would want or would even sniff a short list for them.
