Someone on this board please tell me why he’s not the guy? What he did in a short time at LSU was great. He has learned from Sean Payton & Matt Rhule. My thoughts are him & Venables are 1 and 1A options. One of those two should accept for the right amount.

The only way I'd think Harbaugh leaving becomes remotely possible is if there's a combination of big booster upheaval and Harbaugh losing the confidence of Warde.  None of that appears to be a thing as of right now.

If Joe Brady wanted to be a college football head coach long term he would have stayed in college football. He could have been a HC at a number of pretty-good programs after last year.

He moved to the NFL for the same job title.

Lol at the idea that Joe Brady would want to coach Michigan. I get it, we’re mad but let’s try and be realistic here. This program is not the desired job some of you think it is. Zero, I mean ZERO chance Joe Brady would be the next head coach. imho, Venebles would be a horrible option. He’s not a head coach and he benefits mightily from Dabo leading the program and having a phenomenal offense. We need younger up and coming guys like Josh Gattis.

Michigan isn't going to do the things in recruiting (though we do some) that Venables would take. First call needs to be to Bob Stoops, second call to Petersen, who's the John Beilein of football. Hopefully one of those two guys has had their batteries recharged.

First call should be Urban Meyer. If he's retired, then d'Antonio...but I doubt he would.   Why not Tom Allen ?  If we can get him, that is.  Program seems very sound and he punches well above weight class.

I'm expecting to lose next week, because they look quite good, and our defense is shockingly bad. They've given us fits and think of the recruits he can get at Indiana.

VERY inexperienced and we’re basing his entire resume on what he did in one season. Obviously a promising coach but it’s a major risk going after a guy on in his second year of his career with a job title that isn’t “offensive assistant,” and his first as the sole coordinator.

As great as that one year with Burrow was, putting him directly in charge of a major college program at this stage is a huge jump, and one he may not be ready for. Especially because it’s based on a single season.

He has built a very decent program as a mid-level SEC school- a basketball school for that matter. He won't go any higher there though- he won't get a New Years six bowl, let alone a shot at a National championship. He is looking up- can't go wrong there, and he is not a gimmicky hire like RichRod. I am in, and we need to move on from the Harbaugh experiment- it's over.
