Hope he felt the same way about the ohio state game.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:11 PM ^
Masterpiece theatre Ann Arbor style. Am glad McSorely overthrew the one wide open TD pass, but our starters gave up absolutely no points today. Impressive.
November 3rd, 2018 at 9:20 PM ^
Yeah, our DBs fell down on a couple plays but McSorely couldnt hit anyone
November 4th, 2018 at 12:17 AM ^
That's what happens when Michigan's D is getting constant pressure on the QB and we give up nothing. The opposing team presses and subsequently misses on plays they would normally hit. It's not rocket science.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:12 PM ^
Our D is good, yo.
Gary looked great early. Set the tone for the whole game. He’ll be huge if there are big games later in the year. If you know what I mean.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:13 PM ^
Don Brown is the man. Also, I do not understand targeting, and I’m not sure anyone does.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:31 PM ^
The refs agree. Defenseless still means defenseless right? Just checking.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:37 PM ^
That was a good no call, contact but not forceable. Dangerous play, sure, but doesn't fit the rule of targeting.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:58 PM ^
Yeah, he didn’t launch at all when he left both of his feet from the ground.
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:22 PM ^
Did not make contact with his helmet. It was shoulder to shoulder, not helmet to helmet.
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:54 PM ^
The spirit of the penalty is to prevent exactly that type of dangerous hit. He may have touched with the shoulder first but his intent, complete with launch, was to destroy the receiver. Nobody would have questioned the refs judgment had the call stood. Are you trying to protect kids or just teach them how to hit dangerously with more nuance?
Why bother with the rule if you aren't going to use it as a tool to take the emphasis off head hunting and improve safety?
November 3rd, 2018 at 9:58 PM ^
Please reference the rule where launching = targeting.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:13 PM ^
Did Solomon come back in at all?
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:14 PM ^
Not sure—but he was standing on the sideline.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:15 PM ^
Yes, he was back out there for Watson's pick 6.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:16 PM ^
Yep he was playing the second half. Was apart of the blocking in one of the INT returns.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:14 PM ^
Uche is pretty good
November 3rd, 2018 at 11:04 PM ^
7 sacks on 12 total tackles for the year.
That is... something else.
November 3rd, 2018 at 11:18 PM ^
He only does one thing, but he does it REALLY well.
Some guys preseason talked him up. I thought maybe he’d get some SAM snaps, maybe snuff out some runs with big hits.
Instead he’s a pass rush only DE that is blindingly fast. Our 3rd and long pass rush is terrifying.
Consider that in some big moments they could lift Paye for Gary now that Rashan is healthy again.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:18 PM ^
I'm not disappointed in not getting the shutout. I'm disappointed that they scored a TD. I would've loved seeing Franklin bitch out again a kick a FG at the end of a game for a small moral victory
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:18 PM ^
The thing I like about Don Brown was his reaction to the late TD, he was utterly disappointed. That's the mentality you want drilled into players.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:31 PM ^
Internet winner. I remember how pissed I was when PSU scored in 97
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:32 PM ^
Donzilla attacking PSU like they Tokyo.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:32 PM ^
FUCK THAT!
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:34 PM ^
Did we get any Rutger this game? I'm guessing they got more than 42 rushing yards?
Edit: no because Stevens. PSU RBs got a rutger though
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:37 PM ^
Yeah, piss off Don Brown at your own risk. This defense is legendary
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:39 PM ^
Get a good nights sleep Don B....you earned it!
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:25 PM ^
No. I don't want him to sleep soundly until after the OSU game. Give the man some no-doze. What is Dr. Brown's number so I can text him pictures each morning of the Buckeyes game last year?
Who has the photoshop skills to put Brown's face on the Hulk? "You won't like me when I'm angry"
November 3rd, 2018 at 9:01 PM ^
He's going to have someone else to worry about if we beat OSU (probably Northwestern, which needs to beat one of Iowa, Minnesota (!) or Illinois (!!) to make the B1G title game--and it took a quarter for our D to zero in on NW earlier this year). Then if we do well there, he will have to worry about Tua or Laurence or someone like that.
November 5th, 2018 at 1:24 PM ^
Northwestern was coming off a bye week though, if memory serves. So that might have had something to do with their early initial success.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:40 PM ^
This group is playing out of their minds. Our offense might struggle against the Bama’s, but this D? I think it can hang with any team. What a performance!
November 3rd, 2018 at 9:34 PM ^
No one we've played has been big enough to consistently run right at us, which is what you have to do. 'Bama is, LSU is. I really want the opportunity to worry about this.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:42 PM ^
I thought Gary looked ok.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:46 PM ^
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:50 PM ^
I hope Don Brown has trouble sleeping the next 3 weeks.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:52 PM ^
Did anyone catch Winovich's impersonation of McSoreKnee after that 2 int? Brilliant!
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:59 PM ^
November 3rd, 2018 at 9:08 PM ^
Yes, hilarious. The whole team was trolling mcsorely the entire game. It was perfect execution of one of the things that makes college football the most fun sport to watch. I think it was DPJ after his touchdown who kicked off the proceedings
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:52 PM ^
These young men are really REALLY good

Double DON BROWNS SALARY $$$
No hesitation from anyone. This deserves every damn penny and some. Guy could make $2.5Million a year at Michigan and everyone would think it’s still not enough!
November 3rd, 2018 at 11:31 PM ^
Shit if I was Oklahoma I would dump 5 million on his step and make him say no.
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:52 PM ^
Don Brown up in your ass
November 3rd, 2018 at 7:55 PM ^
Here's how dominant it was. Ambry Thomas and Ben Mason are tied for 6th in tackles.
November 3rd, 2018 at 10:03 PM ^
I'm legitimately worried Bench Mason is going to kill a dude on kick off coverage. Never seen anyone throw their body with reckless abandon like him and he's 255 lbs.
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:03 PM ^
Another sad touchdown drive given up. Really wish they got the shutout...but hey GOOD FOR YOU Penn state *pats head*
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:15 PM ^
OUTSTANDING
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:21 PM ^
You do not want Don Brown waking up everyday thinking about you.
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:28 PM ^
Don Brown is THE MAN
November 3rd, 2018 at 8:28 PM ^
I am torn on where the line between luck and skill falls. We have gotten lucky that some balls have bounced off the hands of open receivers and that some wide open guys have been overthrown. Watching some of the plays today that were not completed, I could not help but think that Haskins could make us pay if we don't clean some of it up. I know it is nit-picking after obliterating the previous 3 QBs... but those plays are Haskin's specialty and Michigan has the tendency to bring out the "Heisman Trophy" performance out of OSU Qbs.
With that said, watching OSU's OLine struggle brings me hope that we will be able to get pressure quickly with just 4.
