Masterpiece theatre Ann Arbor style.  Am glad McSorely overthrew the one wide open TD pass, but our starters gave up absolutely no points today.  Impressive.

Our D is good, yo.

Gary looked great early. Set the tone for the whole game. He’ll be huge if there are big games later in the year. If you know what I mean.

The spirit of the penalty is to prevent exactly that type of dangerous hit. He may have touched with the shoulder first but his intent, complete with launch, was to destroy the receiver. Nobody would have questioned the refs judgment had the call stood. Are you trying to protect kids or just teach them how to hit dangerously with more nuance?

Why bother with the rule if you aren't going to use it as a tool to take the emphasis off head hunting and improve safety?

He only does one thing, but he does it REALLY well.

Some guys preseason talked him up. I thought maybe he’d get some SAM snaps, maybe snuff out some runs with big hits.

Instead he’s a pass rush only DE that is blindingly fast. Our 3rd and long pass rush is terrifying.

Consider that in some big moments they could lift Paye for Gary now that Rashan is healthy again.

I'm not disappointed in not getting the shutout. I'm disappointed that they scored a TD. I would've loved seeing Franklin bitch out again a kick a FG at the end of a game for a small moral victory

Did we get any Rutger this game? I'm guessing they got more than 42 rushing yards?

Edit: no because Stevens. PSU RBs got a rutger though

He's going to have someone else to worry about if we beat OSU (probably Northwestern, which needs to beat one of Iowa, Minnesota (!) or Illinois (!!) to make the B1G title game--and it took a quarter for our D to zero in on NW earlier this year). Then if we do well there, he will have to worry about Tua or Laurence or someone like that.

This group is playing out of their minds.  Our offense might struggle against the Bama’s, but this D?  I think it can hang with any team.  What a performance!

Double DON BROWNS SALARY $$$

No hesitation from anyone. This deserves every damn penny and some. Guy could make $2.5Million a year at Michigan and everyone would think it’s still not enough!

I am torn on where the line between luck and skill falls. We have gotten lucky that some balls have bounced off the hands of open receivers and that some wide open guys have been overthrown. Watching some of the plays today that were not completed, I could not help but think that Haskins could make us pay if we don't clean some of it up. I know it is nit-picking after obliterating the previous 3 QBs... but those plays are Haskin's specialty and Michigan has the tendency to bring out the "Heisman Trophy" performance out of OSU Qbs.

With that said, watching OSU's OLine struggle brings me hope that we will be able to get pressure quickly with just 4.
