OTish: Wolverines in the NFL. Moody misses TWICE as 49ers fall to Browns

Submitted by BostonWolverine on October 15th, 2023 at 4:36 PM

What a bizarre sight to see. Jake Moody misses from 54 early and 41 VERY late as San Francisco goes down in a really gross game.

Pre-game skirmishes, questionable penalties, and a host of injuries make this one of the weirder games I've seen this year.

What else are our boys up to?

Josh Metellus forced a fumble that was eventually returned for a TD by the Vikings.  That ended up being the winning margin in the Vikings win over the Bears.

BostonWolverine: current and former Michigan players are never OT.

Moody missing two kicks in one game in Ohio is the most compelling evidence yet that the NFL is scripted.

First miss was from 54 on a wet day.  Pulled it left.  Overcompensated on the 41 yard kick and left it a bit right.  Browns stadium is a tough place to kick, and it was his first time kicking there. He’ll be fine.

This one hurt especially since I really dislike the Browns and really wanted to see them to go down.

But SF being down McCaffery and Deebo makes it tough to win any game. And it didn’t help that the refs were in the Browns’ pocket.

Yup I was there and each of the 13 penalties called against the Browns for 120 yards were totally justified.

The five penalties for 35 yards against the Niners were totally bogus.  Couldn’t believe how much the officials wanted us to win, I mean calling a penalty against the Browns 3X as frequently as the Niners is proof positive of their pro CLE bias right?
