If Michigan gets slated for Pasadena, I’m really hoping it’s not against USC.

I’m not sure how good USC’s defense is, but Caleb Williams is giving off serious Pat Mahomes vibes.

I love our blindness to our own bias. Can you imagine if we just beat, in any fashion, ALABAMA? this thread would be a wall of we should be#1 or the world is unfair.

If we beat a Bama team that had already survived two very, very close calls against unranked opponents?

We'd be thrilled, but acknowledge that this Bama team probably isn't quite up to its usual standard.

(We'd also be freaking out about our D and worried about what OSU would do.)

That’s a tough roughing the passer call in the UF-LSU game. UF had the int and would have had 5+ minutes to drive and try to tie. Instead LSU looks like they’re gonna run it out.

I have to wonder if all those kids who are in ND's class this year will stick around - I'm sure Freeman is selling playing time and prior success but they have looked really poorly prepared and coached in a lot of these games and it's not like a top-100 kid doesn't have options beyond a religious school in a boring-ass part of Indiana.

Stanford was one first down away from clinching the game, but Shaw preferred to have ND burn its timeouts and punt.  I think I know how this ends.

EDIT: Stanford!!!

Lol David Shaw basically told Notre Dame "I dare you to drive the field and score the game winning field goal" and Notre Dame said "No, I don't think I will"

It's not just that Notre Dame lost at home to a shitty team. It's that ND actually looked like the slower and less creative team -- which is hard to do against a David Shaw team. They've still got (at least) 2 more likely losses on their schedule.

Don't look now but FSU giving Clemson a fight.  I remain unimpressed by Clemson and all of their "statement" wins have looked less impressive as NC State got worked over by Syracuse and Wake Forest looks like all gas/no brakes.

BTW, I hate teams that won’t put a names on the back of the jerseys.  I know the whole “play for the name on the front” but the names on the back are to help the fans know who’s out there.

Thought USC deserved a late hit penalty there, but at a minimum I’m glad that Utah’s sojourn with the ball wiped out half of the remaining time.

Looks like they got Spartan Bob on the clock at Rice-Eccles though.
