Maybe the same place my classmates took the goalposts from Mich's 24-12 win over OSU in 1969.
October 15th, 2022 at 10:59 PM ^
Oh c'mon, let them have their fun. I'd have been rooting for the goalposts to make it to the UP if anyone had ripped them up after OSU last year.
October 16th, 2022 at 9:00 PM ^
For starters, they are hillbillies, not rednecks :)
There is a nice big tunnel on the east side of the north end zone that takes you outside. From there, it’s a short walk to the Tennessee River.
Of course, there is a price for all of this.
October 15th, 2022 at 7:55 PM ^
Go nuts, Rocky Top. After the years, or even decades of misery they’ve endured, they’ve earned this.
Somewhere, someplace, Peyton Manning is getting wasted tonight.
October 15th, 2022 at 7:59 PM ^
I'm picturing Manning drinking one bud light and being shit faced drunk.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:01 PM ^
He was at the game......
October 15th, 2022 at 8:03 PM ^
Big win for Joe Milton.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:13 PM ^
Nice.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:58 PM ^
see his stat line from today: Joe Milton III 0/1 0 yds 0.0 Avg 0 Ints. QB Rating: 62.7
how do you get a 62.7 rating from that?
October 15th, 2022 at 7:56 PM ^
They'll swap Tennessee in for Bama, leave us exactly where we are. I don't care. Just keep winning and it'll work out.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:22 PM ^
Michigan will jump Clemson and get to 4. Clemson is playing an okay but not very good FSU team tonight. Even if they win handily it won’t be as impressive as eviscerating a top-10 Penn State.
Ultimately though, the rankings right now don’t matter. Got to win that final weekend in November or this team is not going where it wants to go.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:26 PM ^
I don’t know. Florida State on the road is a good win. I think we could possibly jump Clemson but I wouldn’t count on it
Then again Florida State might win this game.
October 15th, 2022 at 9:52 PM ^
Either way it doesn’t matter. If this team doesn’t beat OSU, CFP is almost certainly off the table.
By the same token, if they do beat OSU and take care of business on the rest of the schedule, whatever Clemson does tonight or beyond won’t matter. Michigan will be in.
Michigan controls its destiny. That’s all we can ask for.
October 15th, 2022 at 7:58 PM ^
Now for the Noles to whoop that trash Clemson program.
October 15th, 2022 at 7:58 PM ^
Tennessee 100% deserves to be ahead of Michigan. I won't be disappointed if they aren't.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:02 PM ^
The scenery around Utah’s stadium is breathtaking.

Rice-Eccles is in a great location nestled right up against the Wasatch Mt.’s. So nice to sit in the stands and have that view.

Phenomenal hiking in the hills above Rice-Eccles. Cool town and beautiful campus
October 15th, 2022 at 9:54 PM ^
Wasatch is an underrated brewery. I recently partook in some of their Black o'Lantern pumpkin stout.

Buddy you can say that twice about Huepel versus Frost
October 15th, 2022 at 8:06 PM ^
I was rooting for Alabama to humiliate Tennessee. Jadyn Davis was there on a visit.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:22 PM ^
One thing that helps is TN has Nico I.(The 8M dollar man)Coming in the 2023 class and Michigan has a deep well of nothing. That said this being Michigan, the depth chart is seemingly only a negative for us.

Utah wearing helmets honoring the 2 players that died within 9 months of each other.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:07 PM ^
And FSU painted ELLA STRONG on the wall of their own stadium just outside the visiting team locker room.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:06 PM ^
We are all celebrating Bama going down, but...
1. Tennessee will just swap spots.
2. Jadyn Davis was there. That's the kind of atmosphere that has an impact on a 17 year old.
...so I'm just going to celebrate Bama losing.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:16 PM ^
Bags of SEC cash is what impacts 17 year olds on SEC recruiting trips :)
October 15th, 2022 at 8:55 PM ^
And hookers. Never sell the hookers short.
October 15th, 2022 at 11:00 PM ^
Tennessee has Nico Iamaleava coming in 2023. Davis isn't going there
October 15th, 2022 at 8:10 PM ^
A. #6 team wins by 3 in razor thin game at home against #3.
B. #5 manhandles #10 at home 41-17.
Removing conference affiliation I believe the choice is clear. No way the #6 team should jump #5.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:20 PM ^
If we are being objective and consistent, Tennessee deserves to be ahead of us. They have road wins at Pitt and LSU, and have beaten Florida and now Alabama. They have a pretty good case to be ranked #1.
By the same token, we should absolutely be ranked comfortably ahead of Clemson, and even Georgia, based on this year’s performance.
We should be #3, behind Tennessee and OSU.
I think they will have us at #4, with us passing Clemson, but still behind Georgia.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:25 PM ^
Pitt, LSU, and Florida aren't very good. Michigan hasn't really had a close game yet this year besides maybe Maryland and Tennessee went to overtime with Pitt and beat Florida by 5.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:50 PM ^
You think we have a better resume than Tennessee right now? If you do, then you must also think we should be #1 then.
We can agree to disagree. I think we should be at #3 for the reasons above. The good thing is we will be high enough either way for it not to matter if we take care of business.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:57 PM ^
OSU has not beaten anyone except ND, who is mediocre. Why would they be above UM? So, if we are going by how anyone has performed this year, TN is probably #1. Everyone by default puts OSU out there as better....
October 15th, 2022 at 8:12 PM ^
I know this won't be a popular opinion but I'm pretty sure not only will Tennessee jump us but Alabama will stay above us. And we don't even know right now if we'll jump Clemson.
Not only do the polls have an SEC bias but they have an even bigger Bama bias. It is what it is. Don't let it ruin your mood over the ass kicking we gave Penn State today. There's still plenty football left.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:16 PM ^
It ultimately doesn’t matter, but considering Michigan is undefeated and just destroyed a top-10 team, and Alabama already had 2 extremely close calls against average teams earlier in the year, I doubt they stay in front.
October 15th, 2022 at 9:42 PM ^
Alabama isn't staying ahead of us. No chance.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:18 PM ^
I think we really just need to make sure to stay above the likes of USC and TCU because them winning out is pretty much the only scenario where a Michigan that beats OSU could still sweat if we lose another game somewhere.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:20 PM ^
I just saw the score. I didn't know TCU came back and beat Oklahoma State.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:25 PM ^
Meanwhile, the Mariners and Astros are scoreless going into the 13th inning.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:31 PM ^
Elsewhere in the SEC, I see that Brian Kelly's LSU is in a close fight in Florida. It feels like Florida should win this one, but instead LSU is up a score late in the 2nd quarter. Kelly has LSU better than many anticipated in year one.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:33 PM ^
We had 418 rushing yards against one of the best run defense teams in the country. Alabama and Tennessee combined for 296 rushing yards on 70 attempts in a 101 point game.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:38 PM ^
Bama secondary was atrocious. TN WRs were beating them quite a bit. I thought I was watching a B12 game.
October 15th, 2022 at 10:29 PM ^
Poll voters will look at the 418 yards and simply assume that Penn State’s rush defense was vastly overrated and the 418 is no big accomplishment and we got our butts kicked by Georgia anyhow.
Whereas they’ll think Alabama played in a scintillating game on the road against a very tough opponent and barely lost and Nick Saban has won a million national titles so they’ll vote them ahead of us.
October 15th, 2022 at 8:35 PM ^
Heupel or Hupie as my wife thought it was pronounced, aside from his lack of having a chin, is a rather solid coach. I, however, loathe Tennessee from the Woodson/Manning days. Fuck them, but fuck Bama also. That is all.
October 15th, 2022 at 9:03 PM ^
Did he become the front runner for the Heisman?
October 15th, 2022 at 9:35 PM ^
I think so. This was his "Heisman Moment(TM)."
October 15th, 2022 at 9:36 PM ^
That would be fantastic if a TN QB was the favorite; Corum winning the Heisman would be AWESOME!
