OT- What’s Your Favorite MGoBlog Reference?
Street Chemist posted the “Nik a Pac” thread a couple of days back and got shot down with neg votes, but showed his level of MGoBlog fandom by reaching back for an obscure reference that perhaps only some of the regulars on here understood.
That led me to thinking- what is your MGoBlog reference that you have lingering in the back of your head? Do you have one that more one this board would know like CJK5H, or do you have a really old school one that only a select few on here would actually get? Let’s hear them!
Not sure if it qualifies but the Overtaking Ass post was one of the great moments of this site.
Been a reader (lurker) for maybe 15 years and that one is hard to beat.
I'll throw Mineral King out there since no one's mentioned our former starting QB yet.
Do you mean the part-time QB, full-time golfer?

Don’t forget…
“Never Forget.”
Anything involving Scott Frost's Mom.
I'll also vote for Fred Jackson comparisons: "Like [____], but more [____]"

I'm interested to see what happens with Fire Backich as well.

Why did I have to scroll to page 3 to find this? What's wrong with you people?!?
Here again is MGoUser Street Chemist's "Nik a Pac" obscure reference in its original form:

I don't remember this one but it's instantly a favorite.
Sheer poetry.
Hold me TVH
Or hold me brown bear, since he's still on the blog.
I went to College at Miami University (Ohio). I really enjoy the Miami (Not That Miami, or short hand NTM) reference to my Alma Mater.
This is going way back, but I especially liked Brian's leet speak references. u r teh suxorz, hax4r, pwned, n00b, etc. But probably the best combo of use and effectiveness at getting the point across from that time was:
im in ur base killin ur d00dz
Any time Craig Roh's name pops up I immediately think of "crab defensive end in ur base killin ur d00dz" because it made me laugh so hard.
Brian was a fantastic writer back in the day. So good I couldn't wait for his column each day. I've never done that for any other blog for anything.
Some week I'll forget to check this place and not even remember that I didn't and the habit will be gone. No offense to the current crew. There is only one Brian.

Crazy that they wouldn't know! Crazy, eh? Pretty crazy.

All references to OSU fans pooping in their coolers still make me chuckle.

Oh god I forgot about that guy and his depth charts. He had a real gift in being able to unite the board in their collective hatred.
The MOON game.
I too could go on and on. Thanks to all my fellow MGoBloggers for one little half acre of fun on the Internet.
That might have been the first time I heard Brian use the term “rock fight” to describe a game, and it made perfect sense.
