MOD EDIT - apologies to BoFan, who did post additional information (did not realize that the paranthetical comment was not showing on the mobile app, so readers there apparently didn't see that the thread here had been updated). Feel free to post that here, regarding his being fired without cause as the allegations apparently could not be substantiated. - LSA

RR as a head coach in the MAC would be interesting. He probably needs to lay low for at least one season and let things blow over.

I don't really like how they can fire him while being cleared by an invvestigation. Any money grubbing staffer  gets dollar signs in her eyes(while the student loan bill mounts) and sees an easy way to ggive herself some relief. I'm not a fan of this at all.

It is interesting that he admitted to the affair. I wonder if that admission was to get ahead of a potential settlement, since he claims he is being sued for $7.5M. I assume that RR harassed this woman because it seems the school found something during their investigation, but how it's playing out feels a bit like an attempted shakedown as well.

He wasn't hired to be worlds greatest husband. Plenty of better men than you have done it and ended up just fine. I get tired of everyone trying to ruin a person's livelihood because they dicked around. Marriage is a phony contract anyway.

Ultimate troll the fanbase hire, I would laugh so hard. And it will never happen. By the way, has James Franklin hired a replacement for Moorhead? If he brought in RR that would be bad news.

Probably time to call it a career, RichRod. Even if the sexual harassment allegations aren't true, I think it's safe to say that everyone has figured your offense out, and you still refuse to field defenses after all these years. The game has just caught up to, and surpassed you.

Take a year or two to lick your wounds, go take some low-pressure gig commentating somewhere, and then if you still really think coaching is for you, head to the MAC, MWC, or somewhere with minimal expectations at best.

I was rooting for Rodriguez at Arizona and thought he was a decent guy, but I lose a ton of respect for anyone who's unfaithful to his/her spouse. I hope his career takes a downward slide from here.

The more I realize how much your point about being faithful rings true. I don't know of too many marriages that survive even those "open relationships" we hear so much about in popular culture. But I have several friends and many acquaintances whose lives were completely up-ended because a spouse (whether husband or wife) strayed.

is I wonder if the stressful situation at Michigan started the cracks in his relationship and then Arizona was his place to drift away and mess around.

I'm wondering what would have happened if he had just stayed at WVU, Bill Martin would have known how to use his phone on the yacht, and Les would have come to UM. I'm still much happier with JH than Les - but I don't think MD would have gone 6-1 vs. Les.

As to life situations and people messing around, I've seen several cases in my time of people whose career or interests get in the way of marriage and often times it's NOT the left behind spouse who was unfaithful but rather the person who focused on career or interests. just. damn. sad.
