OT Thank You MGOBLOG

I know that this isn't normal content and if this should be a diary I do apologize mods. I want to thank everyone here, the mods and the members for helping create a wonderful and fun community of Michigan fans. This site has provided us with distractions from reality that has been most welcome.

I am a teacher at Oxford High school and the past few years have been a roller coaster of emotion to put it lightly. This football team, in particular Team 144, have been a bright spot. This site has offered laughs, excitement and villains. It has provided a smile when needed.

Thank you everyone. I may not be an official Wolverine with a degree, but I have been one in spirit my entire life. I cried after losing to Oregon. I yelled at the officials when Trey easily had a clean block. I was at the Big House and cried tears of joy vs OSU in 21 just days before our lives here at Oxford changed forever. I am a Wolverine in my heart and always will be. Thank you again.

Nice sentiment.   I’m a daily follower but infrequent poster.  I’m just about 70 so I have the large passage of time to put all this stuff in perspective.  My recollections are post Elliot pre Bo and as such I’ve seen quite a bit.  We are experiencing quite a Renaissance.  Enjoy it because before you know it, it will be gone.  This is a great blog and very informative.  Brian and Seth are my heroes.  I’ve learned a lot and am perpetually entertained by the comments posted here.  Especially the game threads which run the gamut.

Hear hear.  This site entertains me daily and absolutely keeps me honest.

I appreciate the posts especially from my favorites who routinely make me laugh out loud:  such as but not limited to Clarence Boddiker and Hotel Putingrad.

Look forward to much more.

Cdat, I agree with your sentiments, although my roller coaster has been from a different track. I started reading MGoBlog to get information about the impending hire of Harbaugh, and haven't left. Since then, the laughs, excitement, and yes even the villains helped me escape when I needed it while dealing with my wife's cancer and eventual death. She was a Michigan fan long before I was. I often read articles aloud to her, Opponent Watch and Punt/Counterpunt especially, and also shared many a snarky or outrageous comment with her. Laughter because of this site eased pain for both of us. The sense of community and support I received from many members of our vast network here were also helpful to me in the days and months after her passing. I, too, am a non-attending Wolverine (I was admitted, but chose a smaller liberal arts college), and also want to express my appreciation to the members of this community.
