OT: Tate Martell no-shows practice hours after not getting QB1
The saga continues. What a douche.
ICYMI: Hours after not being named Miami's starting QB, Tate Martell was a no-show at today's practice: https://t.co/jiQexF4hDA pic.twitter.com/vXmZ5N1w5o

I get it’s a joke...but he’s Gen Z, not a millennial. Millennials are 1983-1996.
August 14th, 2019 at 3:59 PM ^
A millennial is someone who is younger than an individual making a comment about unruly youths. All younger people are "millennials" to everyone who is older.
August 14th, 2019 at 4:16 PM ^
A millennial is someone who is offended by the word millennial.
August 15th, 2019 at 3:58 AM ^
I was born in the 1970s and do get slightly offended when people call me a Millennial. I’m generation Oregon Trail motherfuckers.
August 14th, 2019 at 4:19 PM ^
thank you for understanding me/what i was going for lol
August 14th, 2019 at 5:43 PM ^
1983-1996 is generation Y. Millennials are generally those born between 1990 to 2010, but not an official generation group. 1997-2018 is generation Z. This new generation is XY.
August 14th, 2019 at 6:49 PM ^
first 2 hits on Google say Millennial is 1980-1999 and 1981-1996 respectively.
August 14th, 2019 at 9:09 PM ^
Why is uminks comment getting negged? What/who/how offended?
August 15th, 2019 at 10:28 AM ^
I think it's just because what he stated was patently incorrect.
August 14th, 2019 at 11:10 PM ^
Generation Y is synonymous with Millenial
August 15th, 2019 at 10:37 AM ^
Millennial and Gen Y are the same thing.
August 14th, 2019 at 7:24 PM ^
1981 actually
August 14th, 2019 at 7:50 PM ^
I’ve seen it all over the place with the timeframes I will tell you I was born in 82 and identify much more with what is considered Gen X culture...I remember a lot more of those events and trends than the millennial stuff...I’ll offer this too, I think there is definitely a distinction based on the use of the internet. I can remember a world where it did not exist. It wasn’t readily available and was seen as more of a rich kid thing where I grew up until I was like 16-17. There are many millennials who have had ready access to the internet from birth. The advent of the internet is obviously world changing and by product it should have a clear distinction when discussing generations.
August 14th, 2019 at 8:06 PM ^
Agreed, whenever generations come up, I always talk about how there is a pre and post internet millenial
August 14th, 2019 at 11:18 PM ^
It's not unusual for someone born early in a given generation to identify with the preceding generation. Its really a spectrum that is characterized by some general tendencies, and not an exact definition. Having been born in 1965, I have characteristics of both Boomer and GenX
August 14th, 2019 at 7:43 PM ^
is it that people are upset with the negative characterization of millennials...or they’re upset because they feel they are being considered millennials and therefore need to rebuke such statements?...either way your getting hammered

Let me show you how much I care about this:

Who?
August 14th, 2019 at 4:00 PM ^
Tathan
August 14th, 2019 at 3:37 PM ^
It's really too bad he's not the QB at tOSU this year. Would love to play against such an emotionally fragile piece of work.
August 14th, 2019 at 3:51 PM ^
Well, OSU's presumed 2019 starter has a history of running from starting QB battles himself.
August 14th, 2019 at 3:59 PM ^
Aaaah, very true, so Tate should transfer back to OSU next season and Fields will inevitably leave, therefore handing the starting role back over to Tate.

August 14th, 2019 at 3:39 PM ^
Why do we care again?
August 14th, 2019 at 3:45 PM ^
It's labeled OT, if you didn't care you could have easily not opened the thread
August 14th, 2019 at 3:51 PM ^
I asked why we care. As in WE as a fanbase. The obsession with other teams and fanbases on this site is staggering. I am still trying to figure out why everyone cares so much about MSU, OSU, etc. It's nuts. The only reason this was posted is because of the OSU connection.
Who cares. Let's focus on Michigan. Fuck everyone else.
August 14th, 2019 at 4:04 PM ^
By definition, people care more about their rivals than about other non-rivals. That's what a rivalry is. Forgive me for paying slightly more attention to OSU-adjacent tragi-comedies than to the general interest sort.
August 14th, 2019 at 4:04 PM ^
Harbs: Your comment made me curious so after checking your posting history, I think it’s obvious that you are a OSU TROLL.
August 14th, 2019 at 4:30 PM ^
Damn, every single comment is negative about Michigan. He’s very clever by using the word WE though.
August 14th, 2019 at 4:58 PM ^
Tip for reading future Harbs posts?
Replace "we" with "THE"
August 14th, 2019 at 4:10 PM ^
Been on the interwebs long? Everyone is obsessed about everything.
Personally, I find good humor in the Tate Martell saga.
August 14th, 2019 at 4:35 PM ^
Your notion that Michigan fans should only pay attention to what's going on in Schembechler Hall and ignore their rivals completely is what's staggering, especially given that it's OT season.
You've been here for five months, which is long enough to figure out that MGoBlog isn't a typical fan message board that focuses maniacally on the home team to the exclusion of everything beyond your nose. Ignorance-is-bliss myopia is much more suited to MLive or Rivals, where you'd be much happier.

I don't really CARE. But it was pretty funny.
August 14th, 2019 at 3:43 PM ^
Reports are he is back to practice and attended the QB Meeting on Monday night. He doesn't seem to be leaving South Beach.
August 14th, 2019 at 3:52 PM ^
He's not.
August 14th, 2019 at 4:20 PM ^
I heard he had to find a new source for ball lifters before practicing.
August 14th, 2019 at 4:40 PM ^
He's no longer in South Beach. He's in Coral Gables. ;-)
August 14th, 2019 at 3:45 PM ^
Taters gonna Tate.
August 14th, 2019 at 3:51 PM ^
He got injured when he slipped on his tampon.
August 14th, 2019 at 4:00 PM ^
How about tweeting the screenshot of him taking reps at practice yesterday? Tate is a douche, we get it, but at least mention that he is back at practice.
August 14th, 2019 at 5:45 PM ^
Yup. I wouldn’t be surprised if he transfers again and this time to OSU. He kind of has that certain Buckeye douchiness about him.
