OT: Sparty Basketball is now "Sparty Presented by Rocket Mortgage"
Sparty now has a corporate sponsor that is even more absurd than the official naming of our football coaches
Branding Rocket Watts? I see how this branding thing is going to work.
As if we needed one more reason to use Matt rather than Rocket Mortgage

I don't know, but on Sunday I was buying chicken breasts at the Market here in Denver and the dude helping me ...went to State, lived in GR for a while and ..just moved to Denver! (yea) He then went on to explain how Friday's beatdown was BS and that Sparty would prevail (in meaningless) Sunday's game.
For some reason I have a hankering for pork chops this evening. Perhaps I should go back to the grocery store and see what this State Alum thinks about his alma mater's performance versus Terrapin Station.....?
(they do it to themselves, brought to you by "Sparty Being Sparty")
Ask him for a serving of turtle soup next time you see him.
Makes sense. Mark Hollis works for Quicken Loans now as VP of Business Development. Hollis knows and are friends with those top guys at Rocket/Quicken.
Wow, that is news to me. Didn't he leave the university in disgrace?
Maybe this means that Michigan State basketball will now have a very convenient website where you can track your progress through the program and that will occasionally send you tickler e-mails if you're missing key information from your application, like guard shooting.
Holy shit Don, that look on tiny tom's face should be on a t-shirt.
PRICELESS ???
The ref is motioning at him like he's telling a dog to lie down.
This news reminded me that this was a real thing.
The Amway logo was also on the practice jerseys.
But at least the NHL hasn't turned into this yet:
That has always been just awful looking.
Since ads are on the NHL helmets I bet ads on sweaters will be next like the NBA has.
I want to know if they ever lose track of the puck with so much shit painted on the ice.
I hope they write every single student athlete a $10,000 check today.
Not opening this post, I didn't realize Rocket Mortgage Sparty was a real thing. Seeing the headline, I assumed it was a silly exaggeration.
Obviously I underestimated how silly Sparty can get.
Call me crazy, but I am trying to understand why it is silly to have another $15 Million dollars flowing into your athletic department for something as simple as using the words "Rocket Mortgage" when introducing a basketball team.

I refinanced earlier this year and thought I'd give Quicken Loans a call. My experience was worse than awful. I clearly missed the Sparty connection there, but now my absolutely shitty experience with that company makes a ton of sense.
