OT: Ohio State QB Commit Air Noland Looking at Taking Other Visits
Air Noland, the four-star QB commit who's ranked No. 47 in the 2024 class, is now looking at taking official visits to Oregon and LSU. You hate to see it!
Agree, that comment wins the internet today
Kinda like orgi in the end zone
The rare comment that I don't even laugh at, just marvel at its genius.
+1 [Outstanding]
Juan Ifbaire and Tua Bysea
Brilliant
Kid may be ranked a 4 star, but he's clearly got a 5 star name for a QB. Some great opportunities for any announcer when he "airs it out", etc.. 🙂
Well, this move could take their air out of their recruiting. They must feel pretty deflated in Columbus right now!
Columbus is no land for good QBs.
In other post I've shared that my dream is to see OSU's recruiting go down a notch from the Alabama / Georgia level. It would be nice.
In case "Air" is serious about other teams, I see only one uncommitted QB high on this list and OSU isn't in his list of schools:

Golly. That’s terrible!
Maybe Tony Gerdman could share some snarky pearls on this misfortune?
Probably has a better chance playing with Oregon and LSU. Right now, osu has McCord and Devin Brown, both highly rated QBs with years of eligibility remaining. Those 2 can be the Qbs for osu for the next 3-4 years if Noland doesn't beat them. LSU really doesn't have anyone ofter their senior leaves, and Oregon somehow still has bo nix. Easier path to starting at other schools right now.
LSU does have a couple of 4*s behind Daniels, including Garrett Nussmeier, the son of our former OC, who looked decent as a RS freshman in limited time. But yeah, a path to playing time would probably be easier at LSU.
Oh nos, how it will affect the other two 4* and 5* QBs in the class?
They could throw a 3 star nobody back there and that kid would still throw for 3000 yards and 30 TDs. You've got the best receivers in the country lining up to play for OSU on a year to year basis these days, all of whom can out-athlete their competition 10-11 weeks out of the year. Usually their first read is wide open.
I don't think their QB play is going to drop off too much (relatively speaking), regardless of who they stick back there.
Yeah, it's the type of offense where there's a base level of ability required but otherwise you're going to get a pretty effective QB performance out of it. Obviously better QB talent will reach greater heights but yeah, as long as they have a guy who can run a little and throw to NFL WRs you'll do fine.
Well, until they run into teams that can take away their 1st reads consistently and then they suddenly don't like cold or have the flu.
Of course it will... we can laugh at Stroud's silly comments, but he was a great college QB. They won't do better for awhile, and the QB play will drop off.
nothing unexpected here from all sides. He was out-recruited, plain and simple
No need for them to worry. They have Kyle McCord who already is projected as a possible 1st round pick and every Buckeye I've heard said he's better than Stroud!!!
and McCarthy, per them.
And is a Heisman candidate despite having only started one game ever and amassing an astounding 606 yards and 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
The talk about McCord being better than Stroud is in the area of playing much better under pressure. But that talk of being better in one area has probably been conflated into being better than Stroud at everything.
Good fuck an ohio state
First Raiola and now possibly Noland. This is a direct result of beating them twice and having the upper hand in the Big Ten, not to mention the realization we are taking the Ohio recruits now.
Still a lot of time, but you got to hope that the wheels are coming off just a little bit down there.
Uh oh.
I think the bigger story is that #1 WR and OSU commit Jeremiah Smith is getting a good deal of Georgia Buzz.
I got a great deal on some Georgia Buzz. Needless to say, it's gonna be a great weekend.
Iv'e heard from sources that Mr. AIR is not that good.
Are you saying that Air might be grounded?
We are going to see this year if Ohio St did turn from JJ McCarthy to Kyle McCord for good reason, as had been "rumored".
Ummmm, that rumor started with a satirical post from a tweeter named Swanky Wolverine.
He is famous on twitter for photo shopping anything and everything that has to do with Michigan.
This is not true. But it shows the power of suggestion on a social media site
I thought it was based off an interview when he was asked about Jeremiah Smith visiting Georgia?
Like rats leaving a sinking ship!
BTW, posts about Michigan's future opponents are not off-topic.
Especially not THIS opponent.
I think this rumor was shot down.
The only reason I care about this news is that I thought 11Warpedbrains would have some Sky-Is-Falling rants for my amusement before I hit the gym, but nothing yet.
Maybe they will have to circle back and settle for JD after all. ROFL.
