He was a longtime addict, now reportedly sober. That really beats up on your body. Corey Haim was the same (didn't drown, but his body was badly damaged from all the drug use and he died from pneumonia). Could have been a heart attack, too.

It’s too early for that to be said officially, although I think there can be little doubt drugs and/or alcohol were involved. It’ll take a few weeks to process the toxicology from the autopsy.

Ironic considering that was Farley’s last movie. He’d relapsed several times over by the time he’d made that movie, and you could see watching him in that movie that he was likely living on borrowed time. Still funny as hell, but the die was cast by that point.

Perry was taking like 50 Vicodin a day at that point. He commented that he had to do press for the movie, answer questions about Farley's death and he was high the whole time.

Nothing in the linked article says drugs are not suspected, only that they weren't found at the scene. Like no needles, pipes, are bags next to his hot tub. So, we have no idea what happened.
