Where can we see his post-game presser. I REALLY want to celebrate.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:42 PM ^
I said this in the other thread that got nuked.
That onside kick was an epically bad decision after going up 28-17.
Frost is his own worst enemy, I still hate Nebraska for 1997, if there was replay that year, the Missouri game would have been a lost.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:48 PM ^
Yes, FUCK Nebraska and Notre Dame also!
August 27th, 2022 at 5:07 PM ^
I get why people hate ND. That’s more of a passive hatred for me. Nebraska and Frost have been an active hatred since 97.
August 27th, 2022 at 5:40 PM ^
Am I the only one here who doesn't hate Nebraska? Yes I know, 1997 and Scott Frost's mom and outhitting and all, but their program has basically fallen off a cliff. Their fans are really nice folks (despite being just a tad bit delusional) and Lincoln is one of the most welcoming environments for visiting fans of opposing teams. There are many, many more unlikeable programs out there.
August 27th, 2022 at 5:48 PM ^
1997 and Scott Frost are exactly the reason. His mom is just fun the laugh about. Of course there’s also that they were going to show the Big 10 how football works when they joined.
August 27th, 2022 at 6:01 PM ^
You're thinking of Penn State, not Nebraska. Given that Nebraska hadn't even won the Big XII in over ten years when they left, I don't remember too many Nebraska fans claiming they would own the B1G.
August 27th, 2022 at 6:22 PM ^
Yes, you are. Tom Osbourne was a sanctimonious slime-ball. He made his name beating up cupcakes and in nearly all but a 2 great seasons they were generally beaten up by any significant OOC foes in bowls. They had a generational option QB in Tommy Frazier, and other than that didn't really do anything of consequence except steal half a title by cheating, whining, and beating up on college Peyton Manning (and who didn't do that?).
August 27th, 2022 at 6:36 PM ^
I'm with you. It's fun to have some good teams in the Big Ten West, and for the reasons you suggested, I was kind of happy to have "legitimate power program" Nebraska join the Big Ten. Same as I'm feeling now about USC. I don't actually need every other Big Ten program to be Maryland, and I think Nebraska fans have suffered a hell of a long time at this point.
(Though I was cheering for Northwestern this week).
August 28th, 2022 at 6:15 PM ^
Scott Frost belittled our program in 1997.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:53 PM ^
Jokes on you, man. Everyone knows they're the best 0 - 1 team in the nation right there.
August 27th, 2022 at 5:26 PM ^
Definitely outhit Northwestern in that game, damn.
August 27th, 2022 at 5:35 PM ^
The local Wendy's parking lot
August 27th, 2022 at 8:27 PM ^
This is what I came to this thread for!
August 27th, 2022 at 4:18 PM ^
Happy and Scott Frost is like Frazier vs Ali
August 27th, 2022 at 4:19 PM ^
to provide a little more context scott frost day is every day until nebraska get their first win of the season. It started as a shutdown fullcast/edsbs thing but seems to have spread.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:18 PM ^
I don’t hate Nebraska but man it’s too hard not to laugh at thier program
August 27th, 2022 at 4:27 PM ^
They seem like generally nice people (the fans) but I'll never forgive Big Red for all the whining they did at the end of the '97 season. That championship should've been Michigan's across the polls. Related, I will never forgive that hillbilly Phil Fulmer. One other thing: Woodson was a better and more impactful player than Manning.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:34 PM ^
Woodson was 3-0 against OSU. Manning was 0-4 against Florida. These were the “can’t spell ‘Citrus’ without ‘UT’” Vols. You want to win a Heisman, you have to win the big games.
Then Manning graduates and UT wins the national championship.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:32 PM ^
Really? Even if you take 1997 out of the equation (which is asking a lot) they were still one of those bitch programs who delighted in classlessly running up scores on every opponent they could. The 2005 Alamo Bowl was no treat either.
Fuck Nebraska.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:35 PM ^
They were also bitches and cheats during the pandemic.
August 27th, 2022 at 6:34 PM ^
That 2005 Alamo Bowl was the worst case of officiating in the history of football as far as I know. OSU was short was far more significant, but the missed calls were so frequent (7 by my count (2 in M's favor) and I missed the first quarter) that the commentators were making comments that they are generally not supposed to make.
August 27th, 2022 at 5:24 PM ^
I don't hate 'em either but there was a lot of talk about them walking all over the B1G when they came in and it's been pretty entertaining to watch them do not that.
August 28th, 2022 at 1:39 PM ^
That was also the kind of talk when Penn State joined the conference in 1993, how they were going to own the conference and be the king. They won one conference title in their first 12 years.
August 29th, 2022 at 1:49 PM ^
Both my brothers went to Penn State and they were very disappointed when PSU joined the Big Ten. They flat out said that Penn State would crush the Big Ten every year, only to be locked into the Rose Bowl without a shot at the NC game. It was a big step down to them.
Then I remember that time that we beat them 9 games in a row.
Heh.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:19 PM ^
Isn’t Scott Frost Day the day his contract buy-out amount drops in October or whenever and he becomes fireable?
August 27th, 2022 at 4:37 PM ^
You're right, Honorable Yosties. THAT will be Scott Frost Day.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:19 PM ^
Bring in the boxscore for half off a Frosty at Wendy's!
August 27th, 2022 at 4:25 PM ^
I think you mean curly fries at Arby's. Oh, wait, that's the Tigers.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:42 PM ^
*may or may not be e.coli free, lettuce decide.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:21 PM ^
Scott Frost: your team hates you.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:23 PM ^
And to think His Cornhuskers were the "Tougher" team
August 27th, 2022 at 4:37 PM ^
I guess to get in FULL playing shape, they needed to puke more.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:49 PM ^
Yes, no doubt they at least outhit Northwestern. So they got that going for them, which is nice!
August 27th, 2022 at 5:02 PM ^
On the stat line they will receive total consciousness
August 27th, 2022 at 4:38 PM ^
Ooh. That's frosssssstie.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:27 PM ^
Is the media narrative on Frost finally going to change from "Great coach who can't get a break" to "Terrible coach who got lucky one year with a UCF team he didn't recruit?"
August 27th, 2022 at 4:37 PM ^
That already happened before this year IMO.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:40 PM ^
Yeah, the sportscaster have to be more polite but beyond the people calling Cornhusker games, it seems pretty clear Frost isn't very good.
Though I'm not one to write someone off automatically. He can probably run up a pretty good record at Jacksonville State.*
* Reminder: it's where RichRod is coaching now.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:44 PM ^
I felt like the broadcast team today was still trying to peddle us some Frost snake oil . . . but Frost just wouldn't comply.
August 27th, 2022 at 6:17 PM ^
Oh yeah, they were. "A tiger prowling the sidelines" and more. They were trying hard to bring Scott Frost back.
I can't blame them, I was kind of hoping Nebraska would be a little better myself, but whatev.
August 27th, 2022 at 5:38 PM ^
Wait. Do I hear? Clap clap clap
August 27th, 2022 at 4:57 PM ^
That would mean he is in the southern hemisphere.
August 27th, 2022 at 10:28 PM ^
I'm sure many Nebraska fans would love to send Frost to Bolivia.
August 27th, 2022 at 4:31 PM ^
Lmao and to think I was being optimistic about Nebraska this year
August 27th, 2022 at 6:15 PM ^
Speaking of Nebraska optimism, Alex may be hearing about this all year. That QB column is going to get brought up over and over again. Never forget he had Thompson ahead of Cade, Taulia and Clifford despite this:
2021 QBR:
Cade: 24th
Taulia: 32nd
Clifford: 45th
Thompson: 60th (!!))
August 27th, 2022 at 4:37 PM ^
Frosty sad...
August 27th, 2022 at 4:49 PM ^
Life couldn't be better for his doppelganger.
