OT: Favorite quote or phrase?

I hope everyone is having a blessed Sunday. I was just having a conversation about the best quotes that people have said or just sayings that you like to say. 

Some of my favorite quotes and sayings are listed below in no particular order. What do you guys think of these? And what are some of your favorites? I hope everyone has a blessed safe weekend. 

How can you get bored doin what you like to do. (Old family saying)

That is why no one will remember your name (said in response to someone telling you you’re crazy for attempting a hard feat)

That is funny because I have a quote outside my classroom.  It reads:

'Fate whispers to the Warrior, "You cannot withstand the storm."

The Warrior whispers back, "I am the storm."

I tap it every morning before entering the classroom.  Several of my students asked me about this and we had a really interesting discussion.  Now there are some students who do this too.

My god does this hit me hard in the working world.  In school, if you got your work done first, you were rewarded with free time.  In the working world, competence is rewarded with more work.  People quickly shift their focus to people who can get them results.  This both overworks the competent, but rewards the incompetent with less work, as it is easier just to avoid these people.  I even was not allowed to apply for a different position at my old job because I was doing my current job too well. 

Working worlds are so weird.  Group projects can be beyond frustrating, but my god are they accurate.  In the real world, you are absolutely in a group project, and you will be pulling the weight of slackers, or possibly the slacker getting people to pull your weight for you.

Why do you doubt this guy? I never saw him post until the other day, but he doesn’t seem to make a lot of predictions, he just seems weird as all get out. Are you someone who could let us know something that would be valuable or interesting? No offense, but looking through your posting history you seem to just be saying things that are fairly obvious or things that the  family Facebook group shares. Correct me if I’m wrong.
