That's just a shame. Always liked them and found History of the Eagles fascinating (though I have to admit Frey and Henley came off a little douchey).  It's a business, I suppose.  Still, RIP to one of the best voices and songwriters of his generation.

Beside Hotel CA which I will place in my rock category! Eagles were on the radio all the time while a kid in the 70s! Though I did prefer listening to Led Zep on CKLW when it was the big AM rock station in metro Detroit!

Sad to lose a rock legend and particularly one who grew up in the Detroit area. Glenn was great at writing catchy songs and had that tough as nails blue collar Detroit persona. Wouldn't take shit from anyone, which was part of the Eagles breakup. Also, didn't he have some role in Jerry Maguire where he had to give Tom Cruise's character some shit? I'm glad I was able to see the band during the History of the Eagles tour. I always thought Joe Walsh would have been the first "to go" from the group.

Whilst in college, In Ann Arbor, I was walking west on Hill street approaching South Forest. an attractive girl pulled up in a pickup, stopped at the light, and looked at me and smiled. I don't remember if it was a Ford, but I had "Take it Easy" in my head for the rest of the day.

This is just too damn bad. Another huge loss for classic rock and roll. I saw them in Sioux Falls a few months ago - they put on a fantastic show (particularly given their ages). Damn...
