I want my 2k.
December 10th, 2021 at 5:48 PM ^
I still play college hoops 2k8. Best CBB game ever.
December 10th, 2021 at 5:56 PM ^
I still break out the Denard 2k football. Best CFB ever.
Still ticked after all these years when EA locked down all the football licenses because 2k was putting out consistently better football games.

I still play NHLPA ‘93 on my Sega. True story.
December 10th, 2021 at 5:50 PM ^
Smart of them to coincide with JJs Heisman year
December 10th, 2021 at 5:51 PM ^
2 years is a long time to slap college jerseys on the Madden engine.
December 10th, 2021 at 6:21 PM ^
Madden and NCAA football were 2 totally different games and feel. If you played them you'd know this
December 10th, 2021 at 6:50 PM ^
Exactly right. The issue with both wasn't that they were too much like each other.
It was that they were too much like the previous year's version of the same game.
December 10th, 2021 at 8:06 PM ^
Were* and I hope it is the same way. I dont have a ton of faith in EA.

Oh, wait, I'm not 12. I don't care.
December 10th, 2021 at 5:53 PM ^
Look at Mr. 1995 over here thinking that only children play video games.
December 10th, 2021 at 5:57 PM ^
Nah.
Sadly it is the 12 years olds who do not care.
December 10th, 2021 at 7:12 PM ^
You’re so cool. I bet you use all your free time to have sex with hot chicks and make money.
lol, just kidding. Usually nerdy virgins like you have plenty of time to play video games and act tough on the internet.
December 10th, 2021 at 7:12 PM ^
You spend a lot of time on mgoblog. You’d be just as useful playing video games.
December 10th, 2021 at 7:17 PM ^
It's always seemed to me that people who play video games get defensive about it as adults because they don't want to be lumped in with those who use it as an escape from real life and never grow up. That said, one of my brothers in law plays games nightly to decompress and is married, has a family, and full time work as an engineer, so I don't judge. Different strokes for different folks. I'd rather go fishing if I had an afternoon to myself.
December 10th, 2021 at 9:07 PM ^
Yeesh, it was a little “all in good fun” quip and it elicited such vitriol. I am deeply sorry to the adult gamers I’ve apparently offended so deeply. Please, play all the video games you’d like.

I'm married, I teach at a college, I'm taking classes of my own, I walk and play with my dogs twice a day, I paint, practice guitar, cook, exercise, hike, camp, backpack, mountain bike, fish, shoot, read, watch movies, watch tv, play board games, play DND, go to events, and make time to visit with friends and family.
I also play video games.
Most people just waste too much time on in between stuff or just move too fucking slow.
Why does it take you 30 minutes to shower? Get in, wipe soap on your body, get out. how long does it take to wave your hand around the length of your body a few times? How long does it take to walk into the grocery store? Why do you need to spend 5 minutes playing on your phone in between every activity. Slow walking around your kitchen and moving your arms slowly while cooking, what a waste of fucking time.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:38 AM ^
I see you don't waste any time patting yourself on the back either
December 10th, 2021 at 7:44 PM ^
I never imagined I'd see an "lol go sports ball" response on an independent college sports blog's message board, yet here we are.
December 10th, 2021 at 11:20 PM ^
Twelve-year-old you would be ashamed of the douchebag that you became.
December 11th, 2021 at 12:27 AM ^
Sit down kid.
You messed up on this one.
December 10th, 2021 at 6:48 PM ^
Nice. I bought an external drive just so I could play NCAA 06 (the one with Desmond on the cover) on my old 360. Still my favorite by a mile and the only video game I play.
December 10th, 2021 at 9:43 PM ^
That was my first ever NCAA game and I still listen to that soundtrack to this day, great game.
December 10th, 2021 at 6:49 PM ^
Just got my Xbox Series X, haven't even opened it... I'll be ready for 2023.
December 10th, 2021 at 6:53 PM ^
Excited, I thought I saw that only a handful of schools were going to he in it.
It'll be interesting to see if that changes now with NIL settling in. Everyone was all panicky when they first announced and schools were opting out of being in the game.
I'm sure football coaches will sell it to their admin as a recruiting advantage to be in the game.
Also interested to see if EA will negotiate NIL so they can have actual players in the game rather than QB #7.
December 10th, 2021 at 7:09 PM ^
You're getting that confused with Madden

It’s in the game
December 10th, 2021 at 7:35 PM ^
The portal will be so much fun as a part of recruiting
December 10th, 2021 at 10:44 PM ^
Slow down there, Tuck.
December 10th, 2021 at 10:47 PM ^
In all honesty, they should make it tougher to get transfers and just base it on the US News and World Report rankings for college and universities.
December 10th, 2021 at 10:41 PM ^
Currently (and have been, every football season, for years now) playing NCAA Football 14 on my Xbox 360.
December 11th, 2021 at 12:07 AM ^
Finally!!! Hopefully EA doesn’t use this as an opportunity to hose us with micro transactions. Oh. Wait. It’s EA.
December 11th, 2021 at 12:20 AM ^
FFS.
They are programming a game to make money and already have the basics by importing much of Madden's playbook and player physics functioning.
Not exactly a crunch culture at EA.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:35 AM ^
Regardless of year I'm excited for Michigan to always have an all world "DE #97" on my squad
