Notre Dame is so insecure about Michigan.  What they fail to comprehend is the trip is in addition to study abroad.

I think we are still the only school that owns them historically.  I see no need to continue to play them.  They benefit more than Michigan.

Not sure how the ND post and a Michigan staffer responding directly to it and at ND demonstrates insecurity by the Domers. Further they could just tweet back "SCOREBOARD!" and drop the mic.

The irony on Michigan fans complaining about Notre Dame's arrogance never goes out of season.

This is an insanely stupid comment.  We've lost the Ohio State rivalry because we can't beat them and just lost to Notre Dame two times in a row.

You don't see why we should play them anymore and they need us more than we need them?  Just delusional.

Please tell me you aren't actually a UM grad and just one on the typical schmoes from Detroit/Flint who are 'fans'.

At my first Michigan game in South Bend in 2004 after I yelled about a missed PI call on them an ND fan a few rows ahead of me turned around and said to me, "go read the rule book. oh that's right, you went to a PUBLIC school". I always find that humorous as I don't think there is a single major/subject where ND is actually ranked higher than Michigan. Ooops.

ND would be lucky to be the 3rd best academic school in the B1G. In my discipline, I doubt they'd be 5th or even 6th best.

Every legitimately "good" public University (Virginia, Michigan, UNC, all the better UCs, Washington, and Wisconsin) is far superior to ND.

ha, what does that have to do with my legitimate graduate degree? That academic scandal for athletes taking underwater basket weaving courses does not change the fact that UNC is among the top public universities in the country. On top of that I was just replying to a post that said as much, so your reply is a bit misguided.

I don't think that is correct. Athletes taking an actual class, like underwater basket weaving, would have been better. They were getting credit for classes that didn't actually exist. And the reason they didn't get hammered by the NCAA was that those classes were available for all the students, not just athletes, so the NCAA had no jurisdiction. They saved the athletic department by saying that it was a university problem.

I doubt ND saw the pics of Michigan’s trip and said “Gee, we should hurriedly schedule a trip to Africa because Michigan did it.”

As the article says, ND players have been going overseas since 2015 so Dudek’s attempt to troll them is weak sauce but that’s social media for you.

But: to hell with Notre Dame.

Curious choice of photo for that article, in which Tillery is grabbing at D-Mac’s junk with his left hand while clubbing him upside the head right his right forearm. Simultaneously violating both the penal and penile code.

So Michigan's recruiting director imitates a tweet by ND football's twitter account and then accuses the Irish of imitating Michigan. He accuses ND of imitating UM by sending kids abroad when ND has been doing it longer and PLENTY of schools do it besides these two. He basically played himself in every sense with that tweet.

Could have just left it alone but now he looks like a classless fool to anyone who follows these two programs closely.

There are plenty of things people can rip on ND about but this one made no sense.

That would be one of the fair things to rip ND on. I mean, I don't think Kelly sent Declan Sullivan up there with the intent of him dying but it was without a doubt an extremely bad decision that is deserving of any criticism.

That's a fair rip. This tweet was just ignorant on many levels. Kind of like that Abe Lincoln quote, "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

Dudek removed all doubt.

Not sure who this was directed at but I just googled it and there seems to be some debate on who actually said it. I'm sure many people have but the first one that popped up was Lincoln. There are some links that said Twain and some that say Hemingway. Pretty fair to say no one knows for sure as the quote is credited to a few different people. I think Goggles P was right when he said maybe that debate deserves a thread of it's own haha.

I guess I can't say for sure but maybe you can help us out...?
