OT Dr Pepper "Fansville" commercial

One of the new Dr Pepper college football "fansville" commercials riffs on M/OSU.

after some division alignment banter, she (dressed on red) hurls insults: "I hate you and your overrated school" and "we'll out recruit you".  He (wearing navy and yellow that could be maize and blue) , dismissively "but we have higher academic standards".

I am betting a few of you see it the same way.

Missed opportunity to include more teams.

A third fan dressed in green asks if he can join in their football banter, at which point the M & OSU fans just look at him, point, and laugh.

As they walk away laughing, they pass a curiously suntanned neighbor furiously building a fence around his garden and hysterically screaming "stay out, stay out".

As the commercial ends, they pass a deaf, dumb, and blind person in a lion costume (this might be going too far).

I surprised Urbz wasn’t checking her oil level while she threw her dip cup at her boyfriend while flipping him off. Would have been a little more on brand.

Doesn't really look like M/OSU to me.  Colors are generic college colors.  Banter is also pretty generic.  M and OSU aren't ever going to be in separate conferences.

That being said, the real reason I negged you was because you failed at the most important task related to this type of post:  link to the commercial.

They take little bits and pieces of college football arguments and blend them to relate to most major college football teams.  You left out the part where the "red and white" cheerleader says "we own the head to head record". So it's clearly not about Michigan and Ohio State.

I support the companies that support college football.

Dr. Pepper is at the top of the list.  A commercial about the Portal"Rico's Time is Now!"  That's commitment.  That's not a commercial you can use anywhere else.  They are not just mailing it in.

When I am at a fast food restaurant like Taco Bell that has self-serve Dr. Pepper, I deliberately pour some extra down the drain just to increase their sales.
