Why is this “LOL”? I know many on here think that he cheats, but is there any evidence of this?

Yes, Jim Hackett said that he Clemson offered $100,000 to Rashan Gary (and he almost took it).  Was that Swinney offering him the money?  Probably not, but don't tell me he doesn't know this is happening.

And Dabo admitted after the National Championship game that Clemson gave their players steroids.  To me, that is 1000x worse than NCAA rule violations.

Dude - stop.  You are fighting a ridiculous fight.  There is a lot of evidence that Clemson and Dabo are dirty, including Dabo admitting that Clemson gave their players banned substances.

But, they are smart, if you are going to cheat, then you better win and become too big to fail.  And they have won and the NCAA won’t do shit because it would be too big of a black eye for the sport.

Again, it was a general statement.  I don't see how that is not clear.  Somebody making a claim does not make it true.

I could care less about Dabo.  Bagman operations usually involve boosters and businesses and what not, not direct involvement from coaches, unless you are U of A and LSU.

Jim was known to be liar who made up wild accusations about others on a regular basis. That's why he's so well liked and has such a great reputation.

Also its ridiculous to assert that the guy whose players were barred from the title game for using banned substances in a sport that is riddled with well-known corruption involving paying players under the table could *possibly* be involved in anything like this unless you have personaly watched him hand a bag to a recruit and raise his eyebrows suggestively to imply that this money is for commitment.

Yeah, it's sort of crazy that Dabo basically gets name-checked by an assistant coach on the basketball team for how good he is using the "resources" at Clemson, who then gets fired shortly thereafter, and we all sorta shrug our shoulders.

Dabo is dirty, has been dirty for a long time, and no amount of gauzy segments on Gameday and hollow testimonials about his faith will cover that up.

Of course it's evidence!   It may be contradicted by other evidence.  It may not be conclusive.  But it's still evidence.  And, if unrebutted, it could even be sufficient. Plus in the world on the internet tubes, we aren't in a position to actually have a trial.

My avatar that I cannot change says Hi.

IDK if we want to be citing references that also discuss Avenatti or whatever his name is funnelling funds to our program, among others, dating back to 2000. You know, back in the days when we ran shit until Jim freaking Tressel closed off all of our Ohio 'resources'

Lets be fair and make clear distinctions...did "Clemson" offer Rashan Gary $100,000 or did a booster / supporter offer Gary $100,000?

If Clemson offered Gary $100,000, then they are spending millions of dollars on recruiting in 2020 because there class is RIDICULOUS.  If Clemson is this dirty no worries.  Eventually they will get caught if they are as reckless as many claim and their titles will be stripped and Dabo will be relegated to disgraced obscurity.

Clemson offered it to him. Probably paid out by a booster because the coaches sure as hell aint sacrificing their own money. Especially not when they don't have to. But the coaches usually know what they're able to offer and to whom. A lot of them will also offer up cars, because of how ridiculously easy it is to justify. I'd like to reiterate my point that some people have misconstrued, Clemson 100% cheats, and is definitely pretty good at it. But it's not why they're recruiting like gangbusters. Because they're not even the highest paying school in state.

But FYI, they'll never get caught and they'll never face serious ramifications unless something so blatantly terribly stupid happens, a la Laramy Tunsil. Because the NCAA doesn't want their programs to be clean, they want them to appear clean. No titles will ever be stripped, and Dabo will go down as one of the greatest coaches of all time. I mean, probably already a better coach than Urban Meyer, no? And he's doing it at a school with way higher degrees of difficulty.

Outside of Saban, what other coaches in the last few decades would you rather have than Dabo? Tom Osborne? Maybe Urban? Maybe Pete Carroll? Maybe Bobby Bowden and Jimmy Johnson?

The FBI has a Clemson basketball coach on wiretap talking about paying players and saying that they would take care of Zion like the football teams takes care of their players. Insinuating making payments.

Dabo realizes that if above board pay is allowed, Clemson won't be able to keep up with the real money powers - like us.

He survives on Michigan and ND's salary cap being $0.00.

Clemson's entire school endowment is around $740MM.  Alsbama's is around $900MM . ND is around $13B and UM's is around $12B.  Even though most of that can't be touched for athletics, a lot of these shitty schools that are good at football rely so heavily on this uneven playing field.
