One departure.......unexpected...

Unfortunately we have one near term departure and maybe a second. As much as I hate the off-season things happen. TE Devin Asiasi has some family issues to attend to. He is currently in California and may not return. Even if he does, there may be eligibility issues due to not attending classes. The second player in doubt along the OL has been extremely quiet. Still waiting to see how it plays out. Perry will likely return. So far so good.

Wow, this is just awesome.

Asiasi was a stud and is better than the other freshman TEs.

The most troubling aspect of this is that he is already home and not attending classes.

If eligibility issues are concern, then he might have to sit out a year (meaning that a transfer and redshirt).

I am guessing he is as good as gone.  Unbelievable.

So definitely not official.  But someone tweeted that Asiasi is transferring to USC per their coaches.  If this were true, I would think we would have heard something from Michigan.  If he does have family issues, I hope they are not serious.  If he has to leave, I wish him success but that would really suck for Michigan.

Nothing comes before family! God bless you and your family Devin. It's not definite yet but our little brother had this happen to them and that player may be coming back this year.

Hoping that Devin can make it back to campus and be part of this team. Either way I hope that his family is well and that he finds success wherever he ends up.

You will always be welcome back, Devin. You will always have a place here. Hope we see you back in a Maize and Blue uniform next year, but if not, best of luck to you going forward.

Yes, but my problem is that in that long list, WD used "Michigan" before every sport - except for Men's Golf, when he used the possessive "Michigan's."

It's that kind of slipshod attention to detail that won't be tolerated around here.

And yes ... I know I need help.
