Getting to be pretty on-brand with the era of the transfer portal. Supposedly, recently signed a NIL deal with Iowa's main collective, and Iowa also had to self-report a Level III recruiting violation as a result of Proctor.

tl;dr - Went on a spring break trip with former Alabama teammates, and seems likely to transfer back to Alabama before Iowa's spring practice has even started

Sheesh.

So glad Michigan finally did it. This system is so effed up it’s hard to take it seriously.

It’s corrupt minor league football.

Iowa did it wrong.  They gave him the money first while other teams wait until he is atleast on the field.  Still...Proctor seems like a perfect definition of a non-team player and is all about himself.  He is already a good fit for the NFL.

A simple limit on trips into the transfer portal would fix this. I believe Jim advocated for 1 time transfer without having to sit out a year. Even if there was a limit to one time a year it would be better than this nonsense. Talk about a complete pendulum swing.

Repeated transfers were more reasonable when the players "weren't" getting paid. When you take away the fig leaf of amateurism, then there's no reason to start restricting transfers. These guys aren't volunteers anymore, they're employees and that means they can have contracts with restrictions.

Dude padded up, walked onto the field for his first practice, closed his eyes, smelled the corn in the air, smiled, looked over at Iowa's QB1 putting mousse in his hair, got in his car, and drove back to Alabamar.

Maybe. I wonder if the type of person who could actually give up watching college football follows it enough to even know about players transferring over and over again? We know about it because we follow college football 24/7/365 and although we could threaten to quit watching, but could any of us actually stop watching altogether? I don’t think I could, no matter how much I disagree with the changes they are making.
