Thinking you can fight and absolutely knowing you can fight are two completely different things.

Times are different now.  Anyone can go to a MMA gym and get their white belt in BJJ in about a years time, which would make them 100x more proficient in fighting than any person with no experience.

Manascalco had a great bit about this exact subject.  Getting in a fist fight is almost always stupid, but now it's really stupid with all of the gyms teaching MMA out there.

Good to see that young guys drinking in shitty bars tends to end up with dumb outcomes.

My guess is that they all end up getting charges as either side could have walked away.  That being said, calling someone out and then getting your ass handed to you - while being caught on video - is fairly priceless.

Reminds me of being at a St. Patricks day party in Kalamazoo years back. Some individuals who claimed to be in a Northside "gang" came and started talking a lot of shit to everyone. They were all 5'10-6'0 around 200-240 lbs. One guy sucker punched a guy and then threw a drink on him sayin he was going to "F your girl"

One guy stepped to the group of 3 guys. He (a former Marine) was about 5'9 170. The group trouble makers laughed him off at first. He managed to beat the living piss out of all 3. It was one of the most impressive things I ever saw. After knocking one of the guys down and pretty much out, he was able to flip another guy off his shoulder and threw him on top of a car smashing a windshield. He then was able to spin and with one hook knockout the third individual.

No matter how tough you think you are, even when you are with a group, it is best to never believe you are the toughest guy there. Because you are not.

I feel most bad for the guy at the urinal who gets slammed into. You know he peed all over himself and got some nasty shit on him. And the guys rolling in the floor - yes it was a fight but disgusting... whatever happened to let’s take this outside?

Heard a story years ago about some 300 pound O-lineman at a big football school cutting in line at training table in front of a [150] pound wrestler and starting a fight where he subsequently got his hat handed to him.  Being big and tough is different than knowing how to fight.

I used to think that I could take 999 out of 1,000 people in a fight, but the real problem there is that the 1,000 person is the one looking for fights.  Fighting is stupid outside of sport.

(I now put my "fight" number at around 350 people out of 1,000 and the 1,000 includes old women, people with disabilities, small children, coma patients, etc.)

When I was in high school I was part of a group talking to some of the visiting school's athletes. This was a long, long time ago and the danger of humiliation (or worse) by wrestlers wasn't well known. One of my friends was an elite level wrestler at 120 lbs and his name was well known locally. (He went on to place 6th in D1) One of the shot putters (admittedly not the best one but still a big and strong guy) said something like "So you're the big wrestler?" And sarcastically added, "Think you could pin me?"  They didn't start standing but it was still really amusing when he was pinned in a very few seconds. Needless to say, a big husky guy (about 6'3") is embarrassed when pinned by a 5'5", 120 lb guy. But it is also really painful when he is being pinned with a cradle.

So generally speaking, trcmb is trash, but I’ll occasionally scope it out and every so often, doing dumpster diving there pays off. Like this gem:

That's generally my strategy at redneck bars; have my clean cut, obnoxious friend talk a bunch of shizz to a dude with cauliflower ears, a raggedy hoodie and cowboy boots and ya know, just see what happens next.

In this day and age, if you don't know how to defend yourself with wrestling, judo, or jiu jitsu, you're going to get your ass handed to you in a fight.

That guy threw a couple basic punches just to get the football player to cover up and immediately took him down, and then got him on the ground and in a choke in less than 10 seconds.

I may be late to the party,  but here is the link where apparently these 2 MMA guys are brothers,  and admitting their identities.

End of the day, these OU players weren't the football definition of "quick twitch, athletic mofos," one kid was the holder for the field goal kicker.  Still, the stories that are out there of NFL sized linemen getting their ass whooped vs MMA trained folks are around for a reason.

It's best to walk away from a fight but it looks like the OU player and his buddy got what they deserved.  They were the aggressors in the video and the smaller wrestler/MMA guy already had a bloody nose.

I wonder how many people the OU player and his buddy bullied and/or beat up before this happened.
