not an engineer myself, but the list of majors looks impressive to me. I have a friend with a degree from there and he seemed to benefit from his education there. probably a very good place.

Once upon a time a contingent of MGoBlog including our glorious leader decided that Colorado School of Mines head coach Bob Stitt would be a fine choice to lead Michigan.
This was because he invented the orbit screen pass or something.

One of my old colleagues (and still a friend of mine) graduated from Mines with an Econ degree!

They have a massive white block M up on Lookout Mtn. above the campus. Would be nearly impossible, but always thought it should be lit up or painted with the appropriate colors one night. Picture is the annual repainting of the rocks. (First attempt at inserting an image!!! Hope it works.)
