John should not have done this. He needs to be focused on the game and not playing tweet games with Braylon. I bet that Coach was pissed about this.

I agree.

I am sick and tired of some blowhard (former player, coach, or just a fan) blasting one of the players for what they have determined to be insufficent standards in their play.  I am pretty sure these kids are doing the best they can and if that's not good enough to bring a Big 10 title or national championship to the fans, so be it.

The obnoxious tone, degrading comments, and the like do nothing but highlight the ignorance and lack of self-esteem of the poster.  I'm sure these kids want to play better, win big games, and make everybody happy.  The implication that they are simply not trying hard enough or aren't good enough as some way of punishing the fan base is just mind-boggling.

My first year with season tickets was 1979 when AC was a freshman.  Every year was a good year and when we lost 2 games, it was like going to a funeral.  Well things aren't that good around here right now but they will improve.  But if anyone feels the need to criticize these players' abilities or will to win directly at that player?  Please do me and every other fan a favor...

Shut the f*ck up before you speak, tweet, or post.

Thanks...I feel better now.

Some putz the other day tagged Sean McKeon, telling him he was convinced he had no hands; and if he did, he should apply superglue for his next game.  WTF?  The kid has had a good year.

What's the purpose in doing something like that? He's what? 19?  I just don't get it.

Everybody wants to win but this kind of crap is just ridiculous...

Maybe as a person he has the right to defend himself?  Not singling you out specifically because I've seen this sentiment quite a few times across multiple seasons of CFB, but why do fans get unlimited room for criticism of coaches, programs and players, but a player has to clear imaginary hoops and bars to talk back to the guy who is calling you out on a public platform?

I agree with you and I wouldn't have a problem normally with a player doing this, but John should have just ignored it considering the timing and his performance. In addition to that it was honestly a weak comeback. I am rooting for John regardless if he plays or not. Just thought this was a bad choice and not good for the team.

I have no idea what his performance has to do with this. Good players can say whatever they want and be dickheads while players who aren’t playing well should just sit around and never defend themselves?

Anybody who has his own twitter fights ranked is probably not going to come down too hard on JOK for defending himself via social media

Good to see Director Smith being relevant again after the tattoo fiasco. Welcome back!

He had his best game against Purdue, which seems like it was in part driven by his need to show his former coach that he could still play.

I personally think social media is used too much by current athletes, but that's not the way of the way of the world. Plenty of superstars from LeBron to our current coach use it to communicate to the world, sometimes in an "FU" fashion.

I'm going to think positive and hope it spurs him to play his best on Saturday. I don't have high hopes, but whether we win/lose is going to be on the whole team, not just him.

Glad John spoke up. Braylon is lucky to be blessed with god given ability. He needs to shut his whore mouth and not be insulting amateur athletes. Whether they play for his alma mater or not.
Get a life Braylon u douche. Wtf have you done in your life besides catch footballs.

a lot of shit comes from Twitter.  Pull the plug, its amazing, my stress level is way down. You can do it..all who are thinking of doing this..just do it.

It will be a weird few days  of not touching your phone constantly but that passes quick.  Now I acutally converse with people.

Twitter, FaceBook...just get rid of it.

I guess in some sense it is. But I do not consider it social media in the context of Twitter/Facebook/Instagram/Snapchat/etc.

I'm anonymous on here and I am not fretting about posting my best pics or experiences and worrying about how good life seems for other people.

Not kids. A kid is someone under the age of 18. I love and respect all of these guys, but they are not kids. If people want to boo they should. Be real not fake.
