O'Korn tweets on Braylon

"Not surprising that those with a history of mistakes LOVE to publicly criticize others so they can stay relevant. Just an observation..."

I'm going to go the other way and suggest that Harbaugh personally coached O'Korn with how to word the tweet. Have you seen Harbaugh's Twitter account?
November 20th, 2017 at 2:32 PM ^
Didn't we get this site's tag line (Do not be deceived...) from a Harbaugh tweet? IIRC, that was a dig on someone mouthing off.

Read just like a Jim H. Tweet. And if so, great! I'd love a coach who publicly and privately stood up for me. Braylon should be more like coach and less like how he is acting.

I agree.
I am sick and tired of some blowhard (former player, coach, or just a fan) blasting one of the players for what they have determined to be insufficent standards in their play. I am pretty sure these kids are doing the best they can and if that's not good enough to bring a Big 10 title or national championship to the fans, so be it.
The obnoxious tone, degrading comments, and the like do nothing but highlight the ignorance and lack of self-esteem of the poster. I'm sure these kids want to play better, win big games, and make everybody happy. The implication that they are simply not trying hard enough or aren't good enough as some way of punishing the fan base is just mind-boggling.
My first year with season tickets was 1979 when AC was a freshman. Every year was a good year and when we lost 2 games, it was like going to a funeral. Well things aren't that good around here right now but they will improve. But if anyone feels the need to criticize these players' abilities or will to win directly at that player? Please do me and every other fan a favor...
Shut the f*ck up before you speak, tweet, or post.
Thanks...I feel better now.

They are kids having the time of their lives and giving it their all. Bashing coaches is acceptable (if sometimes ignorant), but bashing players is stupid and mean.

V-O.
Personally, I think Twitter has been several nails in the coffin of actual thought.
November 20th, 2017 at 4:34 PM ^
Some putz the other day tagged Sean McKeon, telling him he was convinced he had no hands; and if he did, he should apply superglue for his next game. WTF? The kid has had a good year.
What's the purpose in doing something like that? He's what? 19? I just don't get it.
Everybody wants to win but this kind of crap is just ridiculous...

Well said!

who we trust to handle mid-terms and football, I suspect he can multi-task putting Braylon in his place (10 seconds) and preparing for OSU.
November 20th, 2017 at 4:53 PM ^
I figured out how to stop Brayon from tweeting: thow him the phone before each tweet and he'll drop it.

He can focus on the game and still find time to tweet back at someone who publicly called him out

Maybe as a person he has the right to defend himself? Not singling you out specifically because I've seen this sentiment quite a few times across multiple seasons of CFB, but why do fans get unlimited room for criticism of coaches, programs and players, but a player has to clear imaginary hoops and bars to talk back to the guy who is calling you out on a public platform?

Anybody who has his own twitter fights ranked is probably not going to come down too hard on JOK for defending himself via social media

He had his best game against Purdue, which seems like it was in part driven by his need to show his former coach that he could still play.
I personally think social media is used too much by current athletes, but that's not the way of the way of the world. Plenty of superstars from LeBron to our current coach use it to communicate to the world, sometimes in an "FU" fashion.
I'm going to think positive and hope it spurs him to play his best on Saturday. I don't have high hopes, but whether we win/lose is going to be on the whole team, not just him.
November 20th, 2017 at 2:48 PM ^
This could rally the team around him, no doubt. Group psychology is a powerful thing. I'm giving Michigan a puncher's chance to pull this off.
November 20th, 2017 at 2:44 PM ^
Fug that. JOK is a grown man and can do whatever he wants.
November 20th, 2017 at 4:30 PM ^
Get a life Braylon u douche. Wtf have you done in your life besides catch footballs.
November 20th, 2017 at 5:44 PM ^
I really don't remember Braylon catching all that many footballs. He dropped a lot......
November 20th, 2017 at 8:00 PM ^
Selective memory much?
I mean, I know he's kind of an asshole and all that, and he certainly dropped some key balls, but come. on.

Twitter is just the worst.
November 20th, 2017 at 2:13 PM ^
...a communication system more likely to create misunderstandings and antagonism.
November 20th, 2017 at 4:23 PM ^
And the antagonism can reach worldwide proportions depending on who uses it.

a lot of shit comes from Twitter. Pull the plug, its amazing, my stress level is way down. You can do it..all who are thinking of doing this..just do it.
It will be a weird few days of not touching your phone constantly but that passes quick. Now I acutally converse with people.
Twitter, FaceBook...just get rid of it.
November 20th, 2017 at 4:27 PM ^
I've been social media free since 2011 and I can attest that my happiness level is higher than 95% of people I know who use social media daily.

I guess in some sense it is. But I do not consider it social media in the context of Twitter/Facebook/Instagram/Snapchat/etc.
I'm anonymous on here and I am not fretting about posting my best pics or experiences and worrying about how good life seems for other people.
November 21st, 2017 at 6:53 PM ^
but its different in the sense this is mostly all sports talk. Sports help me cope with the everyday bullshit, I can get down with that...when the other stuff creeps into my everyday, thats what I mean. But I agree
November 21st, 2017 at 4:05 PM ^
Amen. I deleted Twitter a few months ago and it feels rather liberating not to be tied to it. There are better ways to pass the time.

November 20th, 2017 at 2:13 PM ^
best not to poke the bear...
leave it alone and move on
November 20th, 2017 at 2:16 PM ^
Braylon wins again. All he wants is attention. And everyone keeps giving it to him. Might as well add him to the "do-not-discuss" list.
November 20th, 2017 at 2:51 PM ^
They're college kids. You don't boo them, and you don't say they suck in public.
Personally I don't boo pro players either. It's counter-intuitive to think that shaming a person will make them perform better. I save all my rancor for the refs....
November 20th, 2017 at 3:02 PM ^
The only time I would think about booing a player is if there is a pure lack of effort.
November 20th, 2017 at 3:03 PM ^
November 20th, 2017 at 3:21 PM ^
Sorry, when I see a grown man jeering and booing a 20 year old college athlete I think he makes himself look like a fool.
